I've got a buddy interested in that compass if you want to sell it?

:)

justice 11-21-2007 02:57 PM

Think I will keep the compass so I don't have to fix the hole, there is a old Mistress project boat for sale about 2 hrs from me,thought about riding over to see about parts,I will see if it has a compass.

About Your Winshield, The Guy I Bought My 77 From Had A Stainless Steel Speedster Windshield Built For It , With 1/2 Inch Dark Plexiglass In It, It Looks Great

justice 11-23-2007 02:44 PM

Do you know who built it for him?It looks alot better than the original.

motownjim 11-23-2007 06:36 PM

this looks like a hell of a project, i never dreamed that it was that rough when you bought it from shogren.i thought about a year or two prior to that it was up and running in louisiana on a regular basis

US MUSL 11-26-2007 10:11 AM

I feel your pain. It will be worth it in the end. I spent 18 months redoing a 38 Flatdeck. As for the windshield, I had a weld shop fabricate one out of aluminum then thru-bolted it to the boat for a more modern race-fairing appearence.

Here's the link to my make-over thread for any ideas or motivation: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=149566

I Was Right The Guy Who Did My Windshield Designed And Fabricated It In His Machine Tool Factory. He Said That You Are Free To Call Him On His Cell At 248 721 0243 And He Will Give You What Ever Info He Can. His Name Is Hazz Spengler. Good Luck.

Yeah she had major work done to her by Stalkin in 2000 and 2001 heard she was in pristine condition. He sold her to someone and they let her go straight downhill! She fired off when I got her from Shogren, but had plenty of problems as you can see.I knew it was going to be a project, just decided to strip her down and start from scratch. The previous owner was running 800 holley automotive carbs with no J tubes so of course when fuel sloshed out and she backfired the fire supression system went off, that was realy fun to clean up and pretty damaging on the motor paint!

justice 11-26-2007 12:56 PM

nocigarette 11-26-2007 05:45 PM

Whatever ya due take your time.............Believe me it wont hurt if it takes two years to due it......................When its done it is a good feeling to have someone ask ya ( wow that boat is beautifull what year is it) Then you can reply and grin..........Looks great keep us posted , More pics please.......

US MUSL 11-26-2007 09:54 PM

Justice,

All the wiring is original with the exception of a few added gauges. Cigarette has always used quality wire.

motownjim 11-26-2007 10:34 PM

us i also checked out your thread , love the boat , congratulations .

justice 11-27-2007 06:04 PM

My wiring had been so abused I thought it best to strip it out and start from scratch.Except for what was in cabin everything else went.Think I am going to pick up harnesses from Hardin marine and try them.
