WOW ! '94 Gun does 100 mph with T600's !

What do you think guys, think this broker is fibbing by a few mph ??

:D

hurleyr 11-28-2007 07:06 PM

It must be the "Custom powder coat engine room fender washers". I've heard they add another 500 HP each side.

t500hps 11-28-2007 07:20 PM

I let the guy know it was incorrect, here is my email: :D

You really need to ride in this boat, for it to do 100MPH it better have 4 (FOUR) 600HP engines in it. 75 is more likely it's TOP speed with 600hp each. (I have a 38 with 625hp each)

Think I'll get a response? :drink:

:food-smiley-007: I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this thread, I would love to see his response. I can see adding a few mph just cause the speedo says it does 3 more than the gps but 20-25%???? Thats a little overboard.

TexomaPowerboater 11-28-2007 10:21 PM

What does it take for a 94 top gun to hit 100?:D

Every bit of 1000 hp per side, and the perfect props.:D

Stormrider 11-29-2007 08:20 AM

It'll do 100.
Just not w/ those engines.

t500hps, you should also tell him his price is incorrect by 40 too.

klaw 11-29-2007 09:19 AM

interesting add must have had alot of work done to it inclucing a remote control cabin door? I know Cig motorizes them now but not so sure about that year

Chris Sunkin 11-29-2007 09:42 AM

From now on, I'm listing all my boats with a broker. It seems to me it's the quickest and least expensive way a guy could pick up 20 MPH.

Trivia tidbit : If I remember correctly, Kangaroo Rat, a full cabin '95 Gun with lots of heavy-ass stereo equipment in it, ran over 100 mph with 1000's. 105 to 108 comes to mind.

When my boat had 1240's in it, it ran 109 gps.

Put it on the trailer....hook it to the dually...turn on the GPS...and find an enormous hill to drive down!!:evilb:

OL40SVX 11-29-2007 03:57 PM

I know the boat. The guy that placed the ad is a broker that doesnt really have a clue. The boat is actually very nice for a 94 but still not woth that money. It hardly gets used as well. It should run around 75-78.

Kool-Aid Man 11-29-2007 03:58 PM

At least that's what I do with mine!!! LOL

Holy Smokes 11-29-2007 04:10 PM

What are you guys talking about?

Sure it can go 100 mph. It's printed right there on the speedometer!

What's he :cool-smiley-011:

100...... Maybe if you dropped it out of a C-130... But it still looks like an ok boat.

Now that would be something to watch.

RumRunner 12-01-2007 09:12 AM

Sent em an email asking when I can sea trial the boat... Told em I was looking for a boat that would do 100, and it's right in my price range:D

jeff32 12-01-2007 09:30 AM

share his answer!

The old crutch.

Pay special attention to the XR Sportmaster ITS drives that are shown in the pics. :D :D :D

You mean the regular stock bravos?:D Im going to have a word with him and tell him to change these things!! Its making the company he's kind of representing look bad.

Chris Sunkin 12-03-2007 06:45 AM

I really feel for these boat owners who've been duped into listing with some (many) of these brokers. Are these brokers all that un-knowledgeable or are they just so stupid that they figure they can make this $hit up and nobody will ever notice?

Neither...we are passionate about boats and know what every little parts is. Some of these guys (OK, alot of them) are boat brokers because they fell into it and need a paycheck. They don't have the passion or the skill to be in sales.
BTW: I know this happens with sales reps....I've hired a few.

Still a 100+mph boat with those ITS sportie drives...

MIAMIBOYZ 12-10-2007 07:08 PM

Ridiculous!

How some people fall into this trap because they are not passionate enough to find out everything before buying it. Then the seller takes them out for a sea trial on 4/6 ft seas before closing the deal at 70 mph tops before the buyer tells him, its mine slow down. That is because he is probably scared schittt without ever reaching 100 mph.

RumRunner 12-13-2007 08:15 AM

I was told they couldn't assure "exactly" how fast the boat would go, but it would be close. What a joke..
