Looking for Ride Comparo: 38' Cig vs. 37' OL
We boat the atlantic ocean alot over here in NJ and we currently have a 28' pantera and hope to some day bump up to a 37/38ft cig or outerlimits. How do both of these boats compare in ride and handling characteristics in 4 to 5's and bigger? The Cig would be a 1998 or less non-step top gun and a single step OL. I really like the fact that the OL takes less to get that beast moving than the cig. How do they compare speed wise power to power?

its all a matter of taste, cig is a tank and rides like a caddy.. ol, is more lighter in the ass... def get more speed out of an ol with less power, i dont think the ol gives a ride like a cig.. how do you go wrong with either boat???? its all about what you dig, win, win situation....

What's the fuel tank capacity of the top gun and what does it weigh. It has been by far my favorite boat ever except for how much power they need to get going into the 80mph range which i would def like to achieve.

hands down the cig. the o.l 37's are a handful to drive by comparison as well. bow hunting and such. this only gets worse as speed increases.
not knocking the o.l but it aint no cig. |
The more i keep looking at the Top gun... the more i think who gives a chit about the speed, hehe, ride in a monster that plows through everything.
