2002 Playboy TS w/ 500EFI's
30P 15" Labbed maximus by mercury
Runs 82-84 @ 5100
No mods to engines, Bravo xr drives
3400RPM= 56-57 mph
4000RPM= 63-64 mph
Props spin out. No reason to switch them. Maximus will give
you plenty of stern lift.

That they do. Doesn't appear to be that severe though. But could right away see the diff. when switched from 4blade bravos.
Another problem that may or maynot have been related to 5blades. More stess on drives.
Blew top cap off yesterday afternoon.
Starting the new year with a new drive......

thanks for all the info= props spin in ; drives are at mid range on guage. in regard to the 3 blade vs. 4 blade any control issues? had aset of 30 4 blade bravo 1 labbed and the so called pros screwed them up . this help is great hate to waste money and boating time

if yoou have the sticks all the way forward and are only turning 4800, then you are over propped, you should be able to spin to 5200 easily. I think the standard merc rev limiter is 54-5500., if you go with a 26-28 4 blade you should be fine. try them both and see which gives you best characterestics. I got my 26's labbed from BBlades and he did a great job, my straight hull tiger didnt like them, I wwent to 24 stock 4 blades and it ran like a dream.
