the boat (in my opinion) shows really well in the pics but shows like new in person, i flew down to houston thinking "maybe" i would buy it, barely walked through the door and told myself its mine
picking it up this wednesday or saturday, (up to the current owner) |
NICE COLORS! How fast is it supposed to run?
supposidly low 80 to mid 80's,
first thing im doing is pulling the motors, reprogramming computers, new cams, and whatever else she needs as my buddy goes through it |
test drove it before buying or sight unseen?
Sweet boat. It has blown by me several times on the lake. Congrats!
What year is this boat and was it originally out of Miami? If so, I might have some nice photos of it.
Congrats Mini-Boomer now you have a place for all those fixed drives!!!! :D
Congratulations!

Steve, check out the how long til ice thread in the LGPBA forum. There is a guy looking for a 29 Fountain |
Thanks Bob, ill check him out
im going to go get the boat tomorrow at 6am. I CANT WAIT |
bman, what props are you running?
That is a good question. I have to go take a look at my boat today or tomorrow and I will let you know. I had my fairing pad revinyled and new carpets done.
who did the carpets, nd how did they come out, i need carpets as well
I took a trip to see the mystiqe so I could look at the new vinyl on my fairing pad and my new carpets. I changed the colors of both from purple to blue. They came out mint and I couldnt be happier. I had a company by the name of CZ's auto upholstery in southington, CT (a guy buy the name of Chad who did a great job at a great price). They did the fairing for $250 and my carpets for $500. I will post their number tomorrow. My prop is a bravo 1 with a 28 pitch. By the way I got my formex Cigarette watch in the mail this weekend!!! It has been a super few days in regards to the cigarette
Ive got alot of ties in southington CT, do you think the guy still has the template to make me a carpet?
Congrats. THat boat is pretty fast. I have seen it blow by my house many times.
The guy you bought it from is very meticulous with his toys. I have never seen a cleaner used boat before. You'll love it.:D |
I would think so, I will ask him today because I have to go pay him today. They are located on 290 Center Street in Southington, CT and the number is 860 621 5366 (ask for Chad). If it was me I would probably send them my carpets to be on the safe side. Cigarette has a reputation for some customization on their boats and I would bet our carpets might have some differences if we lined them up.
the carpet in the boat now is not original and was done rather poorly, i would really need to use yours as a template
bman do you have any pics? and would you mind letting them hold your carpets as a template, i will have give them the go ahead to make them and send them the check or have my cousin drop off money if so... i know right where his shop is
about time you man up boy.. congrats, and welcome to the cool side.. you might get laid now, i cant say for sure but you never know... your pal stecz
They could keep my old carpets and use them however they like. My only fear is if my seat placement or snap placement is different from your boat. Cigarette has a reputation for "custom boats". Might want to run some rough dimensions of your carpet and check it with Chad and my carpet. I dont have any pics but I am going to try stop at the boat tomorrow and take some pictures.
Nice CIG Mystique
Very Nice
bman-
do you have a quote or invoice for your carpets from the auto place, i called and spoke with chad and i think i will have him do them but i want to get a good deal thanks Steve |
I will look and see what I have, either way I paid $750 for my carpets and the new vinyl on my fairing pad. I got a great deal because my company does a lot of business with them (equipment covers, seat repairs, etc.). Great bunch of guys over there and I will have some pictures of the caprets that I will post on Friday.
