How the hell do I change my nav light bulb?

Bulb burned out last night on the way back from the islands. I have the non-pop up style. Looks like theres just one bulb but I couldn't figure out how to replace the bulb (without breaking something).

Had to idle through the harbor with no lights after dinner since my white transom light has been burned out for a while:D

So, how do you do it?

Hum, not exactly sure what light housing you have but mine is bolted to the deck, then you flip it over and there are couple more screws holding it together clam-shell style and then you are at the bulb.
Congrats on duckling the po-po.....creep dog :-)

It's a good time to update to the newer flip-up style. Call Phil and get going.

If you buck up for the LED style you wont have to worry about knowing how to change the lamp.:evilb:

Schweeng 02-10-2008 02:38 PM

....thought you had Phils cell number, guess you're not that close:evilb: - I've got it...get an imediate answer....

Tank - Call Powerboat and get a whole electrical upgrade going....that would take care of the light, no?

Powerboat Summer 2008 Issue

"Top Gun Restore: Upgrade your old lighting system (what the heck and cleats) to the billet pop ups." Hey, you might even get em to chip in on those new toggle switches you've been talking about.

Sounds like you need to call your PB magazine buddies and do a new photo spread. :)

thisistank 02-10-2008 07:58 PM

You guys are RUTHLESS!! I knew I'd take some sh!t but jesus!!

Hey, I don't like to bother Phil with the trivial bullsh!t.:D However, now that you guys mentioned it, I may just need to upgrade to the pop up style light. Good call! How hard is it to install?:D

I'm working on some other stuff for an article in PBM:drink:

Hurley, slow your roll. The toggles and new dash are being made as we speak...And theyr'e going to be SICK! I'll post some pics when it's done, as well as a wind screen, some billte steps for the upper gunwalls and some other winter goodies. Gonna be ready for summer baby!:cool-smiley-011:

Well, what did you expect? You are Mr Cigarette Lip-Ship Powerboat magazine extrordanaire. And you are having problem with a light bulb? :D:D

Seroiusly, the new flip up units (non LED) run approx $170 from Phil. You have a couple of screws, some silicone and two wires. Make sure the unit you get will fit into the previous space that the old one occupied.

Mike, they are being a bit facetious with me. There's no article out about it. I sent you a PM with info.

Did you ever get the swim step worked out?
