What to look for in a Cafe

Going to have a boat surveyed, but for my own knowledge, are there any known issues w/ Cafe's; stringers, etc on where to really focus attention on? Or at least if owning, what typically needs to be addressed over time.

Thanks guys.

Where is the boat located? If in FL or near, have Ed Cozzi do the survey. No one know Cigs like Ed oes.

In my research I never found any known issues or deficiencies. Naturally a competent survey and personal inspection are a must.

Good Luck - you will LOVE the boat.

Rot Tip

Look at the rear trim tabs mnt holes - The factory Jig might have been off and one of the holes went right into the stringer as time went on this bold wasn't nutted and it would back out, wick and rot

REALLY CHECK THE TRANSOM and Stringers

Cafes are great boats. I don't thing they are know for any big problems. But alway look at the stringers and transom on any boat. Even if you have to put transom in a cig. they are still worth the money. Just my .02
