I used to have a 84 38 Cig. flat deck that I had to raise the hatch due to adding blowers. All you have to do is add a 1"x 2" on end around the outer perimeter of the inside of the hatch and move the hatch hinge location up. I coated mine with epoxy and painted it the same red as the underside of the hatch and it looked factory. The only tricky part is you have to cut the 1"x 2" on the same curve as the hatch for it to fit right. get yourself a 1 x4 or 1x 6 and lay the hatch on end up on the 1x 4 and mark your line of were to cut. This is to ensure the hatch stays the same curve so it fits right. I will and try to find pictures of my old boat so you can take a look.

Thanx Tom, I was wondering if that would work or not. A buddy of mine was telling me to use some aluminum channel or box, and screw it down. I would appreciate some pics if you can find them! Thanks a lot!! '

Guys,

I have the original "raised" hatch from the " F2 " cig race boat...bought it after the boat fliped and was trashed.

I bought it years ago for about 5K, it was in rough shape...full Kevlar. About 175 lbs total....I've had it "printed" and am in the process of making a plug/mold for it....Cigarette wanted 17K for a new one at that time, now I understand that they lost the mold in the move.....

If interested contact me

regards..

Yes I did, That interior is the same as a 98 top gun interior. The back seat had to be cut down a little to fit. The seat was bought from Cig and it was made to fit in my boat. The interior was done by a company that used to do Cigs interiors .
