sold for 24000

WOW! $24K for a damaged hull with no power and no paperwork? Incredible!

BLee 03-06-2008 08:46 AM

Wow, nice find. That sure was a nice boat.:(

SKRAMER 03-06-2008 09:58 AM

wonder who bought it.

scottsumrall 03-06-2008 10:12 AM

The invoice new on that boat was like 289k..............

thisistank 03-06-2008 12:05 PM

I knew someone would come across that thing!

Yea, it was 289k new. Now a used one goes for very low 100s in great condition.

That boat needs:

Motors: 10-30k each
drives: 3-10k each
interior: 5-10k
new gauges (I assume): 5k
fix hull damage/deck damage: est. 5k
Paint: 5k
Labor: (?)

So assuming you have conections on getting the items you could be into it for just under what you could buy one for on the market right now thats ready to go.

With that being said, I hope to see it up and running again. I love project boats.:D

STRAIGHTPRIORITY 03-07-2008 02:33 PM

id pay 24 for it! as it sits... maybe more!

bmanafort 03-07-2008 03:13 PM

It was not a 2002 and that is a lot of money for a beat up boat.

Wrong, I owned the boat. It was a 2002.
I would have paid 24k in that condition. At one time, that was one of the best looking boats around.

I remember seeing that boat at Dick Simon Marine when it was still pretty new - It was a really nice boat back then.

I checked my emails when I was looking at buying it a few years ago and it is a 2002, my fault. I thought all the 02's were twin steps but I guess I was wrong. It is a shame to see what has happened to the boat. Hopefully someone can get her back on the water.

I was going to name her GRAY AREA. With the "Gray" in black letters and the area in "white letters". I ended up buying my Mystique at a cheaper price but I sure did love that silver one.
