Subwoofer Location?
I have subs but I am having problems trying to decide where to put them.
Ideas and Pics Please!!!! |
I put two 12" subs under the back bench (where most people put them). I had two seperate inclosures built around the speakers. It took up a lot of room in the storage area under the seat but I can still get the anchor/anchor chain bag, some towels/cleaning stuff, light pole and the cover pole in there.
sh!t bumps too!:D |
Any Pics?
That is where I want to put them just done see how the enclosure will work |

If you have any questions about this install, you can call Barry Ross (owner) at Audio Experts. He's an avid performance boat fan (having owned a few including a 38 Scarab). 805-652-2029 |

I haven't had a chance to get the boat out and uncovered to get some pics for you but these pics are from the article that was done on it (June 06 Powerboat mag). All Eclipse system 8thousand watts (subs take 1500 each), three tv's, 14 speakers total. Sounds great!:D

I am starting the install this Saturday. I guess I am going under the back seat.
|
Measured last night and the 12's are too big. I either have to go with 10's or mount them inside the back seat and have them fire up.
Any Ideas?????? |

Any Ideas?????? 10's will work too. Just remember 10's have a different bass sound and react to bass differently. The bigger woofer you go, the better they will respond to lower bass freq. 10's make a tighter sound bass than 12's. But if you get a killer set of 10's you should be fine. Just fyi. Drippinwet makes a good point too, you can run 3 10s back there. JL Audio make some seriously competition grade 10's that run in series of 3's. I like JL's alot, had 12 12" JL's in my suburban! |
