38 Flatdeck Project
 

Late last year my son picked up a nice 38 Flatdeck. :D

You would think that being his first boat he would be willing to leave it alone for awhile but noooo.....

First thing that had to go was the arch.

Beautifull.....I would of taken a sawzall to the arch if i had to......More pics please, looks like a set of speedmasters hanging off the back, big power due tell/??

Then the dash had been modified so he wants to make it look more like the original.

But first it has to come apart.

It has 3A's and the power will be coming soon.

Bad as$......i see pieces of starboard laying in the cockpit....Where are you guys buying it from i see you are in michigan....


I know a real good laser etching guy when he gets ready to make his next dash....

More apart. And no, it was not a pleasent surprise to find out the instrument mounting surface was hacked.

The boat came with the starboard and we will be removing moat all of it. I know where to get it if you need a source.

We are from Illinois and boat on Lake Michigan. The boat was from Michigan.

We have a guy to make the dash panels already but if it doesn't work out, I'll get hold of you.

The cig is over getting all the fiberglass and paint done right now. As things start happening over there we will post more pictures. :D

Ryan and Roger saw it last week when we took the 88 out there for a touch up . Looks real good and he cranking on the new hull for us now.

That's what we were told. He and Dave did some nice things to the boat. I would like to know more of the history on it.

I don't think the arch looks too bad but it's availiable if anyone wants to come and get it.:D

Now that was the picture i was looking for.:D If you guys keep bringing him more boats I might just have to sneek in there and start putting some parts back on that are ready.:party-smiley-004: It will be on V dock before memorial day. We are going down next weekend so i will let you know how your boats are coming.

He has the port side of the hull done and was going to start the starboard on Thursday , He said he should be making a mold in a couple weeks and I'll have it back by the end of May. Funny how when you threaten to take a chain saw to it he gets on the move.
