Top Gun, how tall on a Myco trailer?

1 Attachment(s)
My boat's still in storage, I'm having some bottom work done but I'm not sure it will fit in door of the glass guy's shop.

Could someone with a Top Gun on a Myco please measure how tall at the highet point on the fairing?

Thanks,

Kurt

I have a 9' tall x 10' wide door on my garage. I think there is about 4"-6" clearance. I remember a post on here about height awile back. Might try a search. Hope that helps

GF was home this morning so I had her measure the opening. 8' 9" finished opening. She's good with measuring, I have a special scale and she knows what 10" is:evilb:

If push comes to shove, you can let some air out of the tires, and use a forklift to dip the bow down to the ground for an additional 4-6" or so.

Kurt....Look up a thread by lucky strike that says......
lucky strike will be safe and sound.
I think the ceiling in the showroom is 10 feet tall.
I know the door behind the boat is 12 feet tall

No one that owns a Top Gun can tell me the length on the trailer. I want to put a shop on my barn so you have to make it big enough for the future boat

Shouldn't you fix the boat you have now before worring about getting a new one.

HIGH PRESSURE 04-15-2008 10:12 PM

Why just move up no fixing then

HIGH PRESSURE 04-15-2008 10:13 PM

Shouldn't worry about getting a boat

That's for a short trailer. (Common on a Myco where the nose of the boat is only a few inches behind the coupler.)

You want a MINIMUM of 45 feet. My boat is a few inches shorter than a Top Gun, and its 43+ feet from the coupler to the diffuser rings with the drives trimmed out.

ciaoderhead 04-16-2008 07:32 AM

My shop is 56' long inside. Gives me enough room behind to work on and service the drives and room in front for other chit. Add about 14' if you want to leave the truck hooked up.

I'll measure tonight.

Closer to 20' if it's a crew cab LWB dually.

My shop is 30 X 40 outside dimensions so probably 29 X 39 inside. My old 311 Formula on a Loadmaster trailer would only fit if I removed the brake actuator from the tongue of the trailer.

Correct, number given was in reference to length on a Myco. This is the exact measurement used when shipping a vessel overseas. So, I agree a minimum of 45ft. would probably be a good idea and playing it on the safe side.

Which trailer?
The boat sits a little lower on a steel Myco and a bit higher on aluminum. I know, I've had both.
