It's a cash boat that will be tough to insure.

Nice power/drive combo. The older cabin kills it for me but the rest of the boat looks really nice. If the min. bid is 60k that seems like a sweet deal!

Probably worth right around opening bid, probably not much more than 5 more if it looks really nice in person. Condition is everything- alot depends on how well it surveys, how much documentation they have and if it looks as nice in person as it does in the photos.

I've got a buck that says nobody opens it at $60.

What do you mean by that???? I've got someone that would finance that boat and also someone that would insure (up to the value of a survey) for under $1,400 a year.

I say that cuz i just did it with my other 1988 Cigarette Top Gun I just sold.........so if anyone is worried about that shoot me a pm and I'll give ya my bankers # and insurance guy as well.

I have to agree with the Kool-Aid Man. I have mine insured with Worldwide Marine (Bob Luellan) and it actually went down $200 this year. I just renewed it two weeks ago. Any boat can be financed if it surveys well by an accredited surveyor.

I've seen the boat in question many times on the Potomac river. It is very nice and nicely restored. It's been for sale forever...but he was asking WAY too much money for it for the last few years (over 150K). I'd say that it's worth 80K in this market.....but with the used boat market the way it is it might be tough to find an azz for that seat!!:( I keep thinking about the TopGun that another member was selling a while back and he had one hell of a time getting 90K for it. I believe that it had 900's and #3's. I think his username was ywait or something like that.

I'm just happy that my boat is paid for. I would imagine that there are a ton of people who owe alot more than there boat would sell for right about now.:hitfan:

I just mean that it's going to be harder to get financing on a 20 year old boat for the average guy who goes to his credit union and they check the book value. It's also harder to get insurance on boats with more than 1000hp. I tried numerous places for mine. I had a lot of people tell me their guy would do it and they wouldn't. I only found one that would.
