That's one hellofa boat! Too bad they didn't update the helm. :(

Biggus 06-10-2008 03:17 PM

I've seen this boat in person and it's incredible. If I had the extra coin it would be mine!!!

As for the dash, I like it, it's classic and all business.

hardcore old school:cool:

unfortunately in this market it is probably only worth the sum of the parts.......

TexomaPowerboater 06-10-2008 05:35 PM

I've made some pretty low ball offers.........and haven't had one person get offended. I'd start by offering $55-60K, but I think it would sell for upper $60's low $70's. Curious if the transom has been replaced yet.

thisistank 06-10-2008 06:09 PM

That things dope!

And you know what, I think the dash would look funky if they "updated" it to white. The black color matches the layout (if that makes sense) and the style of boat in my opinion.

jayhawk261 06-10-2008 07:03 PM

It is very nice, and looks like they've done a great job on the resto. the owner's sales flyer on his website says $129,900. I think you can get a lot newer boat for that kind of coin.

RebarBox 06-10-2008 07:14 PM

I called on the boat last year. The asking price was considerably lower than 129K mentioned above. The power was to big for me to follow any further.

Good looking boat though!

rv 06-11-2008 10:06 AM

I have seen the boat, it does have a great restore job done to it. The boat is maintained very well and looks fresh. I would guess the value would be in the 80's or 90's. The engines, drives and props are worth 75k, the boat and trailer must be worth 20k.

I agree with all of the above.. i think it georgous. i hate to see it get parted out.. or something like that. wish i could afford another cig. maybe ill see what he will take.

STRAIGHTPRIORITY 06-11-2008 10:23 AM

can you get any financing on a boat that old?

stecz20 06-11-2008 10:26 AM

thats a bad machine.. i have to say i agreet with tank.. id upgrade the dash, but id keep it black and dark... good stuff..

This is a really nice boat. It has been taken care of really well. Here are a few pics of the before it had big blower hatches

Ziploc 06-13-2008 06:53 AM

I think it will sell for in the 80's.

oreo11zeus 06-14-2008 07:37 AM

BAD @ss in its day. Try and get financing on that old monster. I am thinking parts boat - sell the engines and rigging ,then off the rest to a young Cig enthusiast.

bob 06-19-2008 09:33 PM

Has to be a great ride in some real water. Problem in trying to put a number on this is that there are very few Cigs out there with the dollars invested in the motors/drives and it is a fresh water boat I presume. Nice machine to run outside and spank a whole bunch of newer glass with Toys R Us drivelines. :D

Right On!

You're not gonna see this boat at a fire sale. It's a true Cigarette enthusiast ride built by a very capable, meticulous individual. Not your run of the mill worn out old neglected mess here. As I mentioned above, I've seen it first hand, I wish I had the extra cheese to give it a home here in Maine.

According to Jupiter, you ought to be able to pick it up CHEAP. Remember, it's a straight bottom and no one wants those anymore.

Did you read the last line in the ad?
"Make me a reasonable offer! You might be surprised what I will sell it for."

129K not going to happen. Croozin your boat is different it is a "Lipship F2 raceboat" so figure 100K for the boat, 25K for the F2 history, 25K for the Lipship advantage, 25K since you took good care of it and 25K cause you used it in fresh water only and there you go it is a 200K boat! :D Happy? :drink:

Who said anything about $129K? My boat isn't for sale, however, if someone wants it they will have to come above $100K. If no one does, that's great with me. I like my boat and, to answer your question, yes, I'm happy.

Apparently you thought rather highly of your boat too or it would have sold much quicker.

No hard feelings.:D:drink:

Some one quoted 129K for the boat in question (84 flatdecK)

RMPRam 06-20-2008 03:20 PM

The price of $129K, that is listed in the "sale flyer" on the company website, is several years old. I'm looking for less than that now. It, in my opinion, could be a hell of a buy for someone who wants an extremely well appointed Cigarette with a fresh drivetrain. I realize that the hull is a 1984, and a stumbling block to some, but the rest of the boat is state of the art. No expense was spared in the construction of the drivetrain. If you, or anyone, are interested, give me a call and lets talk. I'm willing to listen to any offer. I'm motivated, not desperate. Thanks for all your comments/ideas.

Wow! That is a real offshore powerboat. The kind that gave Cigarette it's well deserved reputation.
