The boat looks great. good luck on the sell.

seafordguy 06-11-2008 07:57 AM

I saw that boat the other day while surfing Ebay....

Boat looks great - still might be a hard sale in this market. We've watched some nice boats sit on the market for a long time at less than that.

SKRAMER 06-11-2008 08:48 AM

I'm going to say no your not asking to much. You have a great package for the guy who knows what he is looking at. Bad market your going to have to wait for the right guy or take a hit. Good luck.

stecz20 06-11-2008 10:24 AM

great set up.... that puppy must move pretty good.....

i like it....

exactly what i was thinking ,I know I would have paid the difference ,when i was looking!!! you never know!!

the phone call's i have been getting only care about the top speed!!!, there is so much more difference in the Cig's than other brands . KR

Chris Sunkin 06-11-2008 05:13 PM

I wouldn't say you're asking too much, you're just fighting against the market. The biggest issue isn't value, it's finance-ability. If a guy had the downstroke he'd need to do the financing, he's probably looking at late 90's/early 00's boats.

I'll bet that SOB hauls ass in sloppy water. That's what these "top speed" mouth breathers will never understand. Let 'em have their Fountains and their ponds and rivers.

Couldnt said it better if I had a year to come up with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jeff32 06-11-2008 09:33 PM

89 is not too much to have the $ in mecanic you have in there IMO. As said, financing 89 or close on an 1988 boat could be tough, would be affraid people would choose newer boat with stock power maybe almost as fast if not as fast as yours... just my thought... Good luck and keep us posted!

Alot of maint. on those Bravo's,depending on how they drive, but they dont learn that til later, also depends where they run the boat, lakes or rivers, true statement!, Gulf of Mexico ,, not so sure, extra weight helps, and i promise you i can drive around them, unless they are a little brave ,then they gota worry about those peski drives entering & exiting the seas. back to my first statement,I know what this one can do

Perlmudder 06-11-2008 10:05 PM

StraightJacket 06-12-2008 10:23 AM

If you have anyone on the fence with financing, Kool Aid Man and I have a gal in Minn. that will do it. Just sold an 88T/G and she has done a few loans for us.

Last year on the Tickfaw 200 it got a little snotty on Lake Ponchartrain on the way back in. There was a DCB running his head all weekend about being the King of the River. Well, I can assure you of one thing, he isn't the King of the Lake. We got a good look at the full bottom of that boat several times. My buddy riding with us, who is pretty boat savvy, couldn't believe the ride in the Cig. Boat only runs 78 but it will do it in a lot of different water conditions. We weren't the King of the Lake either but we had a pretty comfortable ride compared to everyone else.

Hang in there Kev. Tough market but you'll find the right a$$ for that bolster.

masher44 06-12-2008 11:54 AM

worth every penny. I love that boat. You are fighting against the market and right now, all boats are overpriced. GL just sold his Tiger to some dude in Japan. Got a better price there.

jeff32 06-12-2008 07:48 PM

japan? really?

stecz20 06-12-2008 08:14 PM

imagine that converstaion....

filthy freach canadian scumbag talking to a japanese fella...

i think the only words understood by both parties were, phil lipship.......:D:D

gl called me last night i did not get a chance to call him back...

im glad he got what he wanted.... now hes a true captain..

how scary is that......:eek::eek:

shoregasm 06-14-2008 05:57 PM

Don't even think or let anyone tell you your asking too much. The boat is worth that price and more. Problem is the market and econ now. If you can afford to, set you price and hold out, may take awhile, but you will get it....

I just rebuilt my 93 gun and put 84K into it with out including the power....let someone go out and rerig one and see what it costs....

terryandalexa 06-18-2008 09:38 PM

You'll get it... It's number one! and the right buyer will know that and want it!
Hang tuff...

Your "gal" is awesome. I have her working on a few things for me.

jeff1000man 06-19-2008 10:32 AM

I noticed that the auction ended. Did it sell?

That is almost the exact boat that I want to build, if anyone knows where a hull is laying around

eichhoma 06-19-2008 02:40 PM

and no, you are not asking too much IMO... hang in there and you will find the right buyer that understands what it is you have. Even in a bad market. Good luck!

That 45 excalibur is a bad azz boat.

There is one down here at the repo yard that I looked at. I can't beleive how big those things are inside.

They want 150K for the one down here, and I think it has a bad transom.

Oh well. Richguys have all the fun. THe rest of us dream or build them ourselves.

If I had as much work in that boat as i apears you do, I think I would let my kids buy me in it. :cool-smiley-011:

Are you talking about the Hawk, or the giant cruiser?

I was taking about the cruiser, and it is at American Yacht sales website. It is white, tan and black I think.

kevinr 06-20-2008 05:18 PM

I was talking about the cruiser, are they that roomy. I have not seen one in person, that just the boat that i really like, also the excalibur has suposedly 9.8' bridge clearance
