Wow little rough crowd in here. Again I started this thread to get opinions on this model Cig and what some feel its worth. Thank you very much for everyones input.

Thanks to Jeff100man I know we can get 35K for it and seems according to everyone else the value should be around 60-65K?? With the motors and drive on this boat that would be a very nice deal also. So again I thank everyone for your input.

Sincerely

WILL

That was my point. It may not be as clean or have the same power but I could do a good bit with the 20k that i saved.

If it had a good survey in hand, so that an objectiion from a potential buyer could be overcome quickly, that might help also.

Good luck, and as negative as I sometimes am, I like to see people get all the money they can for their rigs.

Even though I have never been married, I liken the sale of a boat to a divorce, "if you can get out with a suitcase full of chit, you are probably doing pretty good."

If I were him, I wouldn't turn down a decent offer from someone who can actually buy something.

Good luck

My whole opinion was based on the fact that the owner wants it gone ASAP. I think the boat is awsome and hope the seller gets what he wants but in this market i think it will be for sale a little longer than he wants at that price.

60-70 is about right if it surveys as clean as it seems, and drivetrain is up to snuff.
Problem is, if you can only afford 60 for the boat, the upkeep is gonna be tough if you're not doing it all yourself.

BAJA WILL 06-19-2008 10:32 AM

Again thanks to everyone, I really don't think the owner would turn down a serious fair offer. As for the divorce analogy, I like it, get what you can and move on to the next T/A.:evilb:

Jesus - is that corrosion on the upper casing cap on that left outdrive???

BAJA WILL 06-19-2008 11:41 AM

Just spoke with previous owner on Motors, they are built more than I knew. Dyno over 700hp they also have intercoolers. The previous owner also had extra clearcoat put over paint to ensure a glossy finish.

Was the transom repainted at some time?

My guess - it was a TRS boat converted over to Bravo.

That section you see is missing paint/glass from the re-glass.

The more I look at those drives the better I feel about mine though that is for sure.

I'm still curious about the hours - if those things have 0 Hours that could be a killer boat - if they have 450 hours then, no matter what they dyno, they are a huge liability....

Those engines are a liability anyway. Those blowers are way to small for those engines. In order for them to work, they are spinning them very fast. They had to put the intercoolers on as a bandaide IMO to keep the air temp down from the blower spinning so fast. Terrible design IMO.

You would need to take the belts off and spin the blowers. You can tell how old the engines are by how worn out the blowers are. Not a rule, just a guideline. You could pull the plugs and stick a bore scope in to see what kind of shape the enignes are on the inside.

If those engines are really 572's, you should be able to make 700 without the blowers, which means they are a bad design, or built cheaply.

Just my .02

My point exactly any of these boats at the 50-60k range will need 15-20k to make them right or you can buy one done for the 75k range.

Holy crap your right! Maybe it is only worth 60k. That definately makes me feel good about my boat.

Looks to me like it was left in the salt for way to long, anyway if the drives look that bad and were not cared for than I have to question the rest of the boat. If someone puts 35 to 40 on the table it better get snatched up. they look like junk to me.:(
