Where did the Strength & Honor Cig End Up

I haven't seen any posts with the Strength & Honor Cigarette since last year's Desert Storm run. Anybody know where it is now?

BLee 06-17-2008 12:03 PM

I believe it's overseas now.

sellsman11 06-17-2008 01:32 PM

It's at the factory for a small "facelift". That boat is badazz!!

Cash Bar 06-17-2008 01:40 PM

It would have been in the Middle East a long time ago if it wasn't painted Stars & Stripes.

I think it's the $hit and would own it in a heartbeat if I could.

Schweeng 06-17-2008 05:01 PM

any pictures of this boat around?

Any idea what changes are being made to it? I can't imagine what I'd change to make it better. That's my favorite Cig of all time.

The boat was purpose built (Kilo Record). There for it had some special features. I assume they're tweaking one of these features such as the carbon fiber fuel cell. It was problematic with the fuel filters! But I don't know exactly what they're doing to it.

Like I said, it is just amazing in person! and when you sit down into that cockpit it's awe inspiring. Just the knowledge alone that you're sitting in the fastes Cigarette ever built! SICK!

Here's one more vid showing Tom and Neil coming into the channel...

Brandon, you sure you're not thinking of the new one they built? To race over seas. Identical to the way the S&H boat looked when it was the Kilo boat.

tamburello 06-18-2008 07:49 AM

Tank -

Thanks for the pics and vids. That's an incredible machine. Must've been a kick to run alongside it and give it a look over in person. It sure throws a nice tail.

Yea that's the Strength & Honor Cig in the last vid. That's not the Cig you wanna run across if your wanting to stay out front when you're running 'em.

Would anyone know if the boat had the engines in front of the cockpit when it was the canopied Kilo boat? I ask because the cockpit was way further back on the deck then than it is now.

No. They were the "SuperSecret" Merc. Quadzillas. With some slightly
 modified 6's. I think the cockpit was put back there for aerodynamics. Not sure though.

I would have guessed to keep the weight on the tail like a drag boat but it was so far back there I could not imagine room for staggered engines and trannies. If it were mine, I would not have moved the cockpit so far forward.

That's the one I was thinking of. Somewhere in my cloudy state, I misunderstood Tim in St. Pete. :ernaehrung004:

Otis I'm not running 50% Cigarette and 50% cocktails anymore, so the Cigarette side gets rusty. :drink:

I would def. say they did some cutting on it to open up the cockpit area.

Comanche3Six 06-26-2008 05:04 PM

I love that engine hatch!

Because the video is so old YouTube doesn’t retain the definition. It’s just crap def now and the original was from a video camera I had back then. I may be able to find the original but I’ll have to search through my saved files. here it is from my YouTube videos. I’ll look when we’re back in a couple weeks. Off to Greece, getting ready to take off.
