Anybody know what the story is on this? Can it be fixed?

Wow thats a TON of work to get her back into shape!!! Looks like some one else was trying but gave up.

SKRAMER,
What would a guy have to do to break the front like that? I understand hitting a wall could do it, could something like that happen while underway? Hitting a wave? |
stuffed it?
|
If it were relatively new, it might be worth repairing. although the repair would be a major undertaking to do correctly. For what a pro would charge you to do it right (like not have the nose snap off if you dunked it) it would cost more than what you couls buy a clean, ready to power TG 10+ years newer.
My vote is for a stuff. I don't see any heavy impact damage and the peeled-back deck si a signature tell. |
Stuffed? What is that? Like a MC bounce wrong and nose into the ground (wave)? That woud hurt? Would it hurt the riders pretty bad-generally?
|
A stuff is when the nose of the boat penetrates the face of the next wave. You stop VERY fast. You also get quite a bit of water across the deck- in some cases (especially with cats) enough to kill you.
There's a video out there of a Cougar cat stuffing. The boat basically disappeared into bits. |
The boat sold for $3050.00. I think the parts are worth that but I ran numbers on fixing it and putting it back together. I was easialy at 60K me doing all the work. I can buy a 90's working boat for around that maybe even less the fall.
