Shore power - Bullet
I have a quesiton about my shore power on the 88 Bullet. What is the proper procedure when using Shore Power? How do you know when the boat is running on shore power and not the batteries? When I plug in my shore power cord, I swith my batterys to the off position. Is the boat now drawing power from the shore power, batteries or both?
Thanks |
Whether or not I am on shorepower, nothing works in the boat except the bilge pumps when I turn my batteries off (unless of course you are talking about the 110AC circuit - that works with or without batteries turned on).
When I plug into shorepower, say at a marina over night, I turn the Charger on and leave the batteries on as well so I can use everything in the boat. I think I do it correctly.... |
Shorepower only runs 110 items. Charger, outlets and that is about it. Everything else is 12 volt and will run whether shorepower is plugged in or not assuming the batteries are charged.

So when using cabin & cockpit lights, radio and other accessories should the battery charger be turned on and left on?

I always leave it on.
