Replace Steering Cable

OK guys it must be the cable!
Any advice and information on how I get at the rack behind the wheel to replace the steering cable on a 94 Cafe would be a great help here in the UK. I can see that it's no problem the transom end. Do you know the correct length and make ? the colour of the outer on the existing cable is grey - maybe Teleflex?
