Kevin ran his Lip-Ship 38 Top Gun in the anual Rum Run Race (Long Beach to Catalina and back ). Originally powered with Richie Zul tunnel rammed 750's and XR drives, the motors were recently re-freshed (had over 400 original hrs!) by Brian and Dane Featherhoff (B&D Marine). Brain ran navigator as Keven piloted the boat for the historic race.
Congrats to Kevin and Brain on a great race. |

Hey Steve, Shannon and I ran in a friends boat this year (since we thought we had ours sold). We told him several weeks ago we would ride with him...It was a great run until we blew a drive with approx 3 mi to go...but he has triples so we still came in around 60mph...
Oh, and still in front of Kevin and Brian....:party-smiley-004: A gps is a wonderful thing...and knowing how to work it..... |
Tom is up on his technology... He got me!
I made a slight delay in imputing the next waypoint and at 100mph it doesn't take long to be off coarse. Good Job by Sean, Shannon and Tom. K |
Shannon made it all possible. Tom and Sean was just along for the ride. She taught them

Nice Shots Tank! Congrats Kevin, Brian... and to Sean...
Sounds like things ran great Kevin, nice. Sorry to hear about the busted drive Sean. Shedule dictated, we were boating out of MDR that weekend, great time, but not as great as Kevin and Brian at 100 + |
