Mickey

I recently over heard two angry Italians at a gas station. Half of it was in English and the other in Italian. One said "testa de gatso" and the other said "goombala gotz". Tried to google those words but have a feeling the spelling is not correct. What did that mean?

Jakester 09-14-2008 11:28 AM

I dont know who they are but they have my boat on their homepage!

Michele, I finally got in touch with our shipping company. There is an issue with customs paperwork and your engines are still in FL. I am sorry for the delay of your order.

Got it, thanks. You may want to post in the General Discussion or Beware and Stolen forum and search for someone from Fort Lauderdale to confirm if this place is legit. Or perhaps if someone can knock on their door for you.

Why does it say Powerplay and Active Thunder on the bottom of this page???

http://www.outdrives.com/Mercury_Racing.asp

I would PM Sydwayz and see if they are somehow associated with these people. I really doubt that they are. Good luck

PS-I mailed out that package to you last Thursday. Let me know when you receive it.

Craig

This is Patrick Sullivan and I've had nothing but good luck with him. I don't know about the boat on the home page but as far as the PP and AT ads go, he is a good friend of Pat's at Active Thunder and I believe he is part owner of PowerPlay.

Hollowpoint 09-25-2008 06:49 AM

At least the you're not missing any boat time. Is the boating season over in your part of the world?

Good luck with your new engines.

Chris Sunkin 09-25-2008 06:56 AM

Yeah- that's about what it takes. My guess is that you being in Europe they didn't do anything until they had cash-in-hand. I certainly wouldn't have- too many scams these days. They likely had to get them from a supplier if they weren't in stock. Then you have whatever processing ,packaging, etc- especially if they aren't regular overseas shippers. Then Customs moves at their own pace- and you have to get a broker. Not easy if you don't do it every day.

And yes, sea freight would probably take 6+ months- unless you had a full container.

Call Fedex and ask for a quote on 1500 pounds from here to there. That's what it takes to get things quickly.

In the beginning he told me they were on stock....after the motors arrived in 1 week , my money in 3 days !
After he waited 1 wek before the shipment ...and they used freightquote.com
who used UPS
