They are both good . I think the one on the left looks a little newer with the fade added . But your boat being a 95 I would go with the one on the right . To me the right version looks more classic Cigarette . Good luck .

I like the one on the right.

I like either one.
Spend the extra $ to redo the cockpit carpet to match!

If you guys saw the 42X painted these same basic colors, you might go left.

BLee 10-22-2008 09:22 AM

They're about the same other than slightly more purple shading on the fairing. Looks great, but I'd put the same "Cigarette" font across the fairing that's on the sides, rather than the logo. I haven't seen that yet.

Leave it old school!

When I committed the project , Harold asked me what do I like and my direction was to start from these Grafikworx !!!! ( IMHO the best !) I really LOVE these 3

The middle boat (42X named Purple Haze) is absolutely gorgeous in person!!!

But....I'll paint the boat here in Italy... I hope they'll do good as well !!

I like the one on the left, but then again I like fades.. Purple haze looks awesome. Post pics when finished. Harold does a great job in designing schemes and does an even better job painting them.

I'd go with the no fade for the following reason. You can't do the fade that the right one shows on the sunpad unless someone has some purple fade vinyl which I've not seen. On the 42X they tie the interior to the sun pad with the white center strip. Yours has the purple center stripe.

On your's you're going to have the white to the outsides of the sunpad and butt up against the purple fade of the exterior of the boat. I don't think that fits as well. I am sure you can work the design over some but I think with the deck fade then to solid colors on the sunpad it just doesn't flow right. (see attached) I guess you could go with a lighter purple vinly on the outsides of the sunpad rather than white but then you're going to have to do something with the top of the rear seat where it meets the sunpad. If you leave it all white it won't flow.

Plus the new style inteiors lend themselves better to multiple colors on the vinyl that help tie it together the graphics and the back seats end differently against the sunpad in the new boats, not with the flat piece that ties them together. The older style interiors the look best mostly white and I think the more defined colors work better, but then thats just my opinion.

I would safe me al that hassle and leave it the way it is, original and gorgius !!!!!!:party-smiley-004:

I would spend the $ for new drives ,props ,procharger ect.

Michele,
Don't spend your money unless you are absolutely positive your painter can handle it.

Michele,

I have been doing some thinking about your new paint and graphics situation. You may want to go with a more simple type of graphics. I do not know how talented tour painter is. See what type of work he has done in the past and take it from there, or, ship the boat to Harold and get it done right. And, don't forget, the more simple graphics you have, the easier it is for repairs. Just my opinion.
