cig 20 drive options
seems like my options are blackhawk bravo (shorty) or bravo III with either a standard gimbal a setback box or a its system
I plan on building a 500 hp that will be identical to the motors in my bullet so it will be a 565 hp motor. I run standard bravos with xr vert shafts and run the boiat hard so drve rating is not a issue with me as i have not had a drive failure on the bullet so far from what i have read the blackhawk on a setback box would be the fastest but around dock handleng is tough as well as if i want to pull a skier rooster tail would be a *****. the bravo has the issue of torque lean of the boat and would require some tab use to level boat out. I like the idea of the its system since i am working with a bare hull this would also save on the hydraulic steering side of it and also it has a slight set back. opininions? have no heard much on people running bravo III |
I have the Bravo III setup on mine. It handles real well but I do not think it is the best speed wise. Obviously no torque rollover issues. Good drive setup for all around pleasure use.

do you know where the prop shaft is located on yours from bottom of hull (or x dim bottom of keel to cl of motor)also i am thinking you have a pad hull.
what power and speed do you see? |
It is a pad hull. I'll have to measure the X, but can't until late next week. Engine is a 454 Magnum, 385 HP when new. Speedo isn't GPS, I'd guess it runs around 65 or so.

mine is a non pad but your x-dim would be good for my records even though its not applicable to me I am leaning toward a ITS with a bravo 3 on it
