new 06 trailer too

Hollowpoint 12-03-2008 04:09 PM

I think your choices will be either a 28' which will be slightly older, or a 31' Bullet. If your thinking of a Bullet, do a word search on this site for Bullets and read some of the threads.

You'll find people saying not the fastest and takes a fair amount of power to go fast, but they are built like a tank and you can just about take them out in any seas you have the balls for. With enough power, you could see the 80s or maybe low 90s, but that would take 750+ HP a side.

I love mine and they have one of the best cabin layouts ever designed in a 30 footer with a full enclosed head. They were also produced in limited quantity with a total of 68 made. They have a unique asymetrical deck layout with a single hatch on the port side. And of course, IT'S A CIG!

Couple for sale in the OSO classifieds.

I have a couple bullets for sale.

Hollowpoint 12-03-2008 06:29 PM

Mull, when you proceed past the tire kicking and start looking, you should give carter's Bullets a looksie. They're pretty sweet looking rides!

mull 12-03-2008 08:19 PM

sounds good, always liked cigarette lines but the price usally stops me but after redoing a 29 fountain,i think i`ll shop hard and do some homework and get the ride i want, talking to you guys helps a ton.size is the only catch thats why i`m lookig for 28-32 foot , the bullet is very sharp speed is not an issue been 110mph in my stv time for style and comfort, thanks for the input ,i`ll take all i can get. Donnie

..Just wondering, is that Lenny's old boat?

Air Dog 12-04-2008 12:55 PM

Hi Biggus,

Great talking to you today.

Sad to hear how much time and money Lenny spent on the Jaws, only to have it end up a hull.

Luckily it has been shrunk wrapped the entire time since it last ran so it just needs to be reassembled.

whats "cheap" we may have two different meanings i`m redoing a 21 image shadow right now till i find the right boat

Hollowpoint 12-11-2008 08:02 PM

Even though you may not be looking right now, do you have an idea what price range you may be looking at when you're ready? If you are only going to have 10-20K, it may be tough to get in a Cig.

I do, however, know where a 33' (10 Meter) Fountain is right now that is in that price range sitting on an almost new aluminum trailer. I think that would be a steal. I also know of a 35' Cigarette Mistress that is somewhere in the 30's.

Keep in mind that if you get a boat that needs work just because it's cheap, it may very well cost you more than buying one already refurbished by the time you fix it up.

Anyway, everyone here (at least most of us) are around to help you out.

dmaxx3500 12-13-2008 11:06 PM

I would really like to sell out right but what are you looking to trade. PM or call me we can talk. 918-232-3503

Hollowpoint 12-16-2008 07:06 PM

Dmax, is the 30K or less you posted what Mull wants to pay?

If so, he should be able to find something if he is patient, but that's about as low as you can get one, unless it's the Blue Bullet with the Russian Turbines.

When He's close to pulling the trigger, and has the money, let us know, and we'll beat the bushes for him.

mull 12-18-2008 07:19 PM

30k or so is what i`d pay,you do have a good point about redoing one in terms of cost.little boats like the one i`m doing now i can get away with redoing and not loosing my tail when i sell.i would get another fountain if it was the right one,the 10 meter is a nice rig.this is one reason i posted up helps to hear other peoples input.
