50's are huge! I like the way Cigarette installs the engines, two forward, the center one rearward.

[QUOTE=BLee;2862970]Thanks for the pic, I hadn't seen that one.
It kind of reminds me of the "classic" 80's/early 90's style, with that paint design & color combo. Like some of the old pics of big Apache raceboats tied to the docks back in the day. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/a...t-pics-043.jpg BLEE - That is Gary, Myself, and a boatload of people in Jenny's Express off Ocean City, MD. Thanks for the memory. Barry |
I heard they build a 50 ft with 2 x1200 for europe .:evilb:

So where is the missing 50? Cig press release says there has been 9 built. I see 8 on these pages. Unless it was a typo on their part.:grinser010:

I hadn't heard he was selling it. But (like Sam said) He is building a 46' w/some custom touches (suspension seats, etc). His brother is also building a 39 Top Fish.
Must be nice!!! |

His was only "on loan" at the boat show, because he brings it back & forth during the seasons. That's from Skip at the show. I was at the factory last week, and they have a new 50 that was just out of paint with triple 700's. I met with Skip for about 45 minutes, and there are some new things coming soon as well. The factory looked busy.

I heard about that 700 boat...#10. It'll be interesting with that package.
Where's the pics Brandon!!!???;):drink: They said the Five-O would run 100 or so with the 7 hundo's. I was in Tim, then Skips office the whole time, so I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. I was just looking out their office windows. They had some 39's in there. Quite a few of the fishing boats were in various stages of construction. The kilo boat was in there getting a fresh set of 1075's. The 50 that I mentioned earlier. One of the diesel rigs was over in the corner, as well as some more boats, but I couldn't make out what they were since some were covered up, or partially assembled. The Mercury 39 Unlimited was in there, sans engines & drives..... According to Tim: It's had every set of high performance engine Mercury builds in it at some point in it's life, except for one....... I'll let you dream about which set it hasn't had in it yet, and what may be getting installed for it's next "test" run. http://smiliesftw.com/x/dd2rea_th.gif http://smiliesftw.com/x/boweek-1.gif |

Hey Brandon, Fazza in Dubai still?
I'd still like to see more pics of King Fisher...Seems it's the least photographed 50 out of the bunch. |
Fazza is really outstanding!

Bud told me just a couple of years ago, that there's still a building over there that houses like 6 of the Sultans straight bottom Rough Riders from back in the day. I'd loooove to see that building one day. I bet those boats haven't, and won't move ever again. It just drives me crazy to hear about some of those "barn finds", because I'm sure they're either in absolute mint condition, or covered in a foot of dust http://smiliesftw.com/x/runawaycrying.gif |
Someones gotta check that out!
