Any Cigarettes ever made in New Orleans?
 

I was talking to a guy a month back or so and he told me that Don made some cig's in New Orleans in the 70's or 80's. I had heard this before from some local people that did not know much about boats but they did know a lot about....contraband. I was just wondering if anyone here had any information and could tell me if it was not correct.

My understanding in the early 80's Don sold the company to Halstead marine and then formed Squadron XII which was only allowed to make 12 boats which he did not honor and at which time he bought the company back for pennies on the dollar from Halstead. I believe Halstead was located in new orleans.

It was Halter Marine in New Orleans.
