Cafe's cockpit interior disassembly advice
 

here's a pic of the cockpit in a 91 cafe. There are two vinyl covered pieces on the right side of the right bolster and also on the left of the left bolster. My question is... How are these attached?

I have both bolsters out removed the speakers under each of them so that I could reach up behind. I was hoping how these pieces are attached would become obvious. Not so...

all the interior pieces & the fairing top trim piece all mount by those black plastic thingies (not sure of technical name). i used a panel removal tool (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-f2JrcRx...Aid-87650.html) to slowly pry the pieces out.

let us know how it goes, the cockpit is my 2010 winter project. would like to see how difficult it will be compated to the berth.

you can see all the holes where those platic things insert. my windscreen trim is off too but i dont have a pic of that. but i do know it used about 16-17 of those things just for that thin trim piece. they certainly dont skimp on attachments.

Same as a car door, they are called christmas trees

If you are talking the side panels, they are bolted from the inside, therefore you have to get to the back of them. You can usualy reach them through the speaker holes (its not fun). But if you are talking about the piece around the faring it is done with the chrismass tree things..........
