Because like you, not everyone is sure they'll like the configuration since they haven't tried it. Most of them are priced in that "sweet spot", that includes many other potential boats to choose from with cabins, bathrooms, and other "extra" stuff that people may want or think they need.

They are a unique boat, and not a boat that can be included in a "list" of other various vee bottoms. You have to WANT a Gladiator specifically, just like you have to WANT a Cat. They are meant to give a sports car feeling, instead of a supercharged SUV feel like most other vee's.

All of these factors narrow down the kind of buyer needed for this style of boat. :cool:

for most owners the next step is a cabin or a cat.

2 sold in last 6 months... lipship ebay boat and the connecticutt glad... both 525 boats

thats 5 big power bravo boats which are AWSOME but will take a particular buyer

4 are side by side 500 boats which some say r better... but maybe less desirable?

A G:ernaehrung004:lad is a special type of boat and requires a special type of person that wants this boat. not everyone can understand how great these boats are..I am a definite believer in these boats, they are awesome all the way around..

As B said, it's a "sportscar" boat. They are incredible boats. But, they are "twitchy", and fast so you better know your chit. Barely a day-boat but if that suits you they are awesome.
