I did see Strip Poker in the Jammin on the James 2007 PR. I managed to get one poor pic of it.

That was one sweet boat! I think I heard it was for sale maybe a year ago??

thisistank 03-07-2009 07:34 PM

That boat almost fell victim to some foul play...I was afraid it was going to be re-painted after it was stripped of power and re-sold. Things bad azz!!

The guy that owns it now totally saved that boat from becoming a back yard sandbox, or worse. I saw it last July and it looks GREAT. It's still my favorite 46 Cigarette.

I LOVE that paint job!

Offshoreracr 03-10-2009 11:46 AM

The boat was in Richmond, VA for a couple of years. It was bought without power and the original motors were tracked down and put back in. The boat is still very clean.

Sydwayz 03-10-2009 12:38 PM

Not exactly true BLee.

Wayne McGee, owner of http://www.nauticalmarine.com/ here in Richmond bought the boat after the liquidation. He tracked down the original engines and perhaps (can't remember) the original drives, and spent over a year putting it back together. He sold it in May of 2008, and that's when it went to the Midwest. Wayne was maniacal about that boat, and he's currently shopping for another.

So, who else knows the real story on the bikini; and when/where the boat was wheeled into the Miami Boat Show?

I took those pics at the 2003 Miami Boat Show. Sorry, I don't know any story about the bikini girl cartoon character on the boat. I do remember her big toe was almost as large as her face. That paint job never impressed me.:party-smiley-004:

I was going to post the same thing about Wayne......he really went the extra mile to put that boat back together.

The girl's bikini was a addition if I remember correctly....apparently she was first painted TOPLESS, but too many guys got a "woody" looking at the paint instead of the hardware!! :)

Gotcha. Wayne deserves some drinks for making it look so nice after what seemed to be the end for that boat.

You are correct. :ernaehrung004:
From last summer. The engines are just getting the regular maintenance, staying at Merc 900's.

Had to revive this old thread from the grave. Where did Strip Poker end up? Still one of my all time favorites!

SLOWRIDE-388 03-10-2015 09:05 PM

Saw it at LOTO

thisistank 03-10-2015 10:08 PM

I saw it listed for sale recently I thought

BrettM 03-11-2015 10:44 AM

Yeah I always liked that boat too. This was 2011 I think, we did some cosmetics and detailed her.

Elway was on board and doesn't own one, that I know of?

DirtyMoney 03-14-2015 01:59 PM

Didn't Elway own American Muscle III?

billy cully 03-14-2015 07:09 PM

I think Elway did own the 46 for a short time , as far as Strip Poker goes , I am blessed with 5 kids , 4 in college now and that's a reason Strip Poker is not in Richmond V.A. . Had the pleasure of being great friends with a previous owner and enjoyed a few poker runs on this beautiful boat . Some may not like the paint scheme but for me hands down the baddest boat I've ever laid my eyes on ,

lonestar382 03-15-2015 01:05 PM

Thinking of a trip to LOTO in the next week or two. I'd love to stop by PBC just to see her in person! Incredible boat!

Plowtownmissile 03-16-2015 02:41 PM

I watched it go by my place on LOTO a couple times Saturday and it looked/sounded great. It's in good hands with the PBC crew.

Absolutely. He owned it for a couple seasons and used it on FPC runs regularly. Bought him and his crew drinks on the dock at key west when they nearly sank it while trying to get the weeds out of the strainers. Water was over the stringers, I tapped Elway, "hey bro, you may want to turn the bildge pump on." :D

True story

Yea those 900 scs are a bear for maintenence. Im aure if someone wanted to they could efi them and fix the valve train issues that plaqued them. Still such a sweet boat and that paint is timeless.

Unlimited jd 06-24-2015 07:15 PM

900's are a great engine. Just a big maintenance schedule. Is what it is. Glad to see that boat being run and enjoyed.

omerta one 06-24-2015 09:19 PM

First time I saw the boat in person, in the water...it looks awesome.
