Perlmudder 03-10-2009 12:13 PM

Kool-Aid Man 03-10-2009 12:23 PM

cabana1 03-10-2009 01:34 PM

i liked this boat so much i painted my boat to match!!!!

twin screws 03-10-2009 01:34 PM

525's, it's a 38, sure is pretty paint

pm203 03-10-2009 04:08 PM

I like this boat alot. The white stripe continues over the rear hatch and looks great. I am not sure why it hasn't sold. One possibility is that the boat has alot of extras and was maybe priced too high from the start. Anyhow, I like it!

paulb32 03-10-2009 11:11 PM

I checked this one out while looking at a few Donzi's at GSC. The paint has some metalic-it sparkles really cool in the light. And that white stripe adds some retro look. To see the detail of these new Cig's in person is jsut quite awesome, can stare for hours.

GSC said financing is a bit more stringent then before, but not as crazy as some of the posts here indicate.

This was their show boat and I'm sure they want to sell it! I thought 38TG's were the stablemate, can't guess why not sold. 87mph on 525's and a ride better than most/all out there, great looks, don't understand it.

GREEK LIGHTNING 03-11-2009 07:44 AM

Robert I like the blue but the rest of it looks strange. Just doesnt click for me. Overall looks ok. Why? You interested in it? It's not too far from me and I'll hook you up with Jerry G. from GSC.

GREEK LIGHTNING 03-11-2009 07:48 AM

Robert I forgot to tell you I'm heading down south again in the near future. If you're interested give me a call and meet me there. You need to get away.

customryder 03-11-2009 08:29 AM

think the price is 330k w trailer..not to bad for a new boat.. richie rich painted it at cigarette.. its got the cheep looking cabin & rear seat with no fold down arms... but i guess all the new 38 are that way...

beautiful boat!

Roger 1 03-11-2009 08:39 AM

Beautiful boat. I spent a lot of time in it during the '07 show in Chicago. Pictures don't do it justice. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal and better people to deal with.

Roger

I like it.

twin screws 03-11-2009 05:26 PM

Greek you are right I do need to get away. When are you going? The blue boat has been for sale for a long time. I guess the buzz now is the 39 with 700's and a $470,000 price tag. I need two of them.

twin screws 03-11-2009 05:31 PM

By the way Greek, with the record you and I have (your boat burn to the bottom and mine sank , maybe we should re-think of what in the hell we are doing, you know what I mean Bro).

Robert, please clarify that we didnt own the boats when those things happened. :drink:

GREEK LIGHTNING 03-12-2009 04:21 PM

Robert, not sure on the dates but soon. I need another break. As soon as I nail some dates down I'll let you know. I have a place for you to stay so no need for a hotel. Hey by the way you hick it's my bday today. Thanks for the wishes. not.

NKissau 03-12-2009 06:45 PM

I think the 525's are killing this boats ability to sell. Yes it's a nice reliable fuel sipping package. But that's not exactly why you buy a cig now is it.

I have to disagree plenty of people like the 525 boats for cost of operation and reliablilty.

Roger 1 03-14-2009 09:39 AM

Somebody needs to buy this boat and give it a good home. One of the nicest ones that I have seen.

Most definitely. 525's are a great package and will give many hours of trouble free operation.

Hey Mike...happy birthday! Which of your boats burned...Greek Lightning or Heavy Metal Thunder? I gotta say...HMT was one of my all-time favorite Cigs.

twin screws 03-14-2009 12:23 PM

Happy late bday Greek, sorry just now getting back to Offshore Only

twin screws 03-14-2009 12:25 PM

Yea, I agree NKissau, 525's are the reason I wouldn't be interested. Needs MoPower

GREEK LIGHTNING 03-14-2009 01:18 PM

Hey mike, Greek Lightning ironically did. Greek Lightning is a term used to identify arson. You know those mysterious restaurant grease fires?????? I really found out that it burned about a year ago. The owner after me was from LOTO and I guess the boat was in a warehouse that was actually set on fire by an arsonist. Thanks for the compliment on HMT that boat was sweet just wish I went with a different motor package. Looked great just not a great "daily driver" so to speak. How is everything with you? Been reading you are thinking about trailering your boat and no more Hammond. I've been seriously thinking about buying another boat. I thought I was done with boating but rehab didnt work and I'm back on the kick.

Thanks bro I know you old guys have difficulty remembering things so I'm cutting you some slack. I agree boat needs more power. I really like the 525s for reliability reasons but I'd sure get bored fast with the top end. And another big factor for me is I have to have #6 drives. Hard to go from
#6s back to different drives. Anyway, I'm narrowing down some dates and I'll shoot them your way. If you can go that would be great. If not this time God willing next time.

twin screws 03-14-2009 03:12 PM

525's are reliable as it gets and they will run in the high 80's, but you need a lot of space to get there. Boring as hell. Greek, you should have a little more respect for these "Old Guys", I would hate calling your wife to tell her that an "Old Guy" wipped her husband Azz. HaHa!

Hey Greek, Your HMT is my all time favorite boat. It wouldn't be my daily driver either but I would love to drive it, one day at a time.

I still have your lift but I don't have a boat. Let me know if your looking to keep something on it.:drink: You know it can handle anything.

Thanks but I currently have nothing to store on it. I am looking aggressively and even thinking about building again. Whatever I purchase I'm keeping it in Miami by my place. That way I really have another reason to go and the whole "what happens in Miami stays in Miami" thing!! :drink: Hope all is well and pm what you're looking to get for the lift. I may have someone who might be interested. Where is the lift now?
