Brett labbed some props for one of my customers in m old 377 scarab and the results were phenomenal.

I am going to have him make some for my sea ray also when I get it back together. Trying to pick up the cruisng speed.

He did some for tomtbone for his 42 fountain and had really good results also.

You where the guy I had in mind when I started ths thread. Your best bet would be to talk to Brett because maybe you should try labbed 28's

Frank,

What props had you been running before? What speeds?

I guess not 26's if you just bought those.....

This sounds like a definite winter project. I have felt my boat wasn't as fast as it could be and I think you are proving that!! I obviously didn't think there was a LOT there to be found but still felt like there were several MPH's that I wasnt seeing.

Thanks,

Eric

Eric,

I was running a stock Bravo 1 24p 4 blade.turning about 5300rpms. Top speed on GPS. 1/2 tank of fuel 2 people in the boat in a 1-2 chop 74-75. In flat water full tank it would run 71-72. I am real surprised the speed I am seeing. I was pretty happy before the prop change but figured this was worth a try, and Brett is a great guy who spent time on the phone with me last year knowing I was not planning on doing it until this year. Best part in all this is my cruising speed improved, maybe these things will pay for themselves
