Deadly combination. High performance boat coulpled with a low performance driver. It just makes me sick to look at that!

Whoa ! That is some damage !! I think they were driving very fast, luckyly nothing really serious happened !
But the request is high....for the damages

We were behind them when it happened. Boat spun out and barrell rolled when turning. Everyone was thrown out and there was no serious injuries. The driver had experience with a fast step bottom boat. He had a Gladiator with 750 Zul's before this one. It was just an accident, the driver was not drinking. The boat sat on the bottom of the lake from Saturday thru the next Friday before it was floated. I saw the boat after recovery and it's a shame such an awesome boat was trashed.

Should have taken the Tre martin school, just finished mine and loved it. A must have for step bottom drivers. Dam shame and hope evrybody is ok.

Just saw the pics and looks like they ripped the port drive but the starboard drive is set very high for a turn, possible cause for the loss of control in the turn.

what a mess

Wow, makes me sick!!! It was posted before that this was the original Wern Dawg boat. Owner was from Chicago suburbs and ran several CPC runs with us. Ran around 120 I believe on the top end and pimped out with ac/heat and a diesel generator to keep the family happy. Beautiful boat, what a shame!!!!!

Does anyone know who bought the boat and what there plans are it ( fixing it or parting it out) ?

aTX427 08-26-2009 09:56 AM

it was on a salvage site for $75K - I heard there was not insurance, but not first hand, so you may be able to work directly with the owner.

I saw it listed in the yacht trader in a salvage yard.
