hello all,looking for some input from all you experts, Is this a real deal>?

anyone know anything about this boat>? seems like a hell of a deal>? What hull issues exist w/ the older cigs>? I would be interested in upgrading but really would not want to have to tons of glasswork. And finding a cig in my price range is rare and i know its going to be older.

how did you like the 28ss? Do they have a cabin?What years were they made>? sorry to bomb you with questions just dont really no much about them but love the way they look. Id really like to be in the 28-30ft range,

IIRC, mid 20s should do it.

I believe that is what he told me at the ramp after the American Cancer Society run last August. He had his Top Gun with him.....

are there any rott issues common with older cigs>? thats the big reason i always avoided older boats is i hate glass work>?

They all rot one way or another.......

Any of them will rot if the water finds a way in.

The only "problem" ever mentioned is on a few cafe racers the lag bolts that hold in the Trim Tabs went in incorrectly and could sometimes cause water leakage into the stringer I believe. You can search on it but it wasn't a widespread problem (and what I stated was off hand so don't quote me on the exact nature of the problem).

It sucks it can happen to any boat at any time! happened to me and it sucks not a good feeling. That boat seems to be a great deal Cigarette's are starting to catch my eye more and more

Has anyone looked at the boat the OP mentioned? Wonder what it could be bought for and if it has major issues...
