I have been reading about 575's and it seems like you have to rebuild the blower at 150 to 200 hours? Is that correct, if so what type of coast is that, and what else to can be done to get to 650hp?

Sent mine to theblower shop w almost 400 hrs and they just replace all the bearings and misc. If I remember right to do both it was under 1k Like 400 ea I think.
I rebuilt both mine w alum heads punched out to 510 and full roller and w stock pully its right under 650hp. W smaller pully was over 700! There is a nice vid on S O S Smith power 575 O yea!! They are great packages to build power with. |
If you are boating in salt water, take the 525's. They run awesome and are easier on maintenance.
