Cafe switch panel in cabin?

What do they all do some are only marked with a 1 and 2. Also the switchs are 2 position rocker but looking at them from the back they are only wired for one side.
Thanks

I can't think of any of mine that aren't clearly marked. You got a pic??

excalibur27 01-25-2010 08:43 PM

I'm not quite sure either. I can't recall a switch marked with a 1 and 2. Like the post above stated .... a pic would help.

Yup, I have freaked out wondering why my motors wouldn't start because someone bumped those switches leaving the cabing on more than one occassion. :angry-smiley-038:

On a side note, how did u apply the hull liner? i am finishing mine & havent had any luck getting it to look nice. I am now going to try using some panel board, wrapped in 1/4" foam & then viny wrapped. Did you just apply the vinyl straight to the hull ceiling?

I stole that pic from AJ who isredoing the cabin. I will be posting pics later. What is that Hatch Master switch? That panel kind of looks simalar to the one in the bathroom of minewith the110 witch and polarity light.

The hatch master switch controls the engine hatch lift.

Sick Stinger 01-26-2010 01:04 PM

Oh ok got ya i though of that but didnt thing they would have a seperate switch just for that unless it was a breaker

As you can see there is 1 and 2 but no clue what that means. Also if you see the back of the switch you can notice that its wired for the lower part of the switch.

My Cafe is an '89, with the newer cabin layout. I don't even have a panel like with those switches. They probably are for the engines. Just my assumption.

Sea-Dated 01-26-2010 02:55 PM

I would guess either engine mains or accessories but since it is grouped together with the head maybe it is for the toilet pump and mecerator. #1 for the pump only if you have to go #1 and #2 turns on the macerator if you have to go #2.

excalibur27 01-26-2010 03:04 PM

You know, I now don't think it is for the engines. I'm really not sure now. It's kinda far back in the cabin to be an engine switch.

Have you tried switching them & seeing what does or doesn't work? Sometimes that the only way I can figure those sort of things out. I'm not much on electrical stuff.

Maybe someone with that same panel will chime in.

:lolhit: That is funny.

I was thinking maybe it was a generic way of marking optional accessories. But would think they would have done it a better way.

Would suck to have to go all the way to front of the boat just to power the engines circuit. Our kids accidentally hit the switches all the time when underway.

Sick Stinger 01-26-2010 03:55 PM

I did the whole switch on off thing didnt see anything happen but it seems they are to send power to somthing and then there is another switch from there im lost

I'm with Sea-Dated. #1 pump for a #1 and #2 macerator for a #2 ........ That is FUNNY.

I think I'm going to add that to my switches in the head & even put up a sign explaining what the numbers are for.

Hell .... I'll take any laugh I can get nowadays.
