1985 Gigarette Flat Deck
Well I have finally arrived. I am now a member of the Cigarette family. I bought the 85 Kevlar flat deck in the classifieds. I am going to put the power from my 43 Scarab into the Cig. If you know anybody who wants a great deal on a 43 Scarab hull with genny and air I am in the mood to deal.
Can't wait to get started on the conversion. The power I have are 605's making about 725 hp straight motor. I am couriuos to see what kind of speed I can out of this classic with this power. I will keep you updated, the scarab ran 72 on GPS in cold air and that boat weighted close to 15 thousand pounds wet. Rick G. |
Congrats!! and Welcome!!!

Welcome and good luck with your project! The Cig should run good w/ that power....

Good job. And if I had a one more slip in my dock that 43 would sure look good sitting next to my 43 Wellcraft Portifino!

Did you buy Don Sherk's boat, from Steve? If you did, I have #3A drives for sale.
I have a 1984 flat deck with twin PSI supercharged 1100hp engines. If you need any help or want to talk, give me a call. Gary 612-247-7081 |

Hi Gary ,yes I did . Do you know Don or Steve, Do you have any insight with the boat? I am planning to transfer the power and No III drives from my Scarab, but would consider an upgrade if the the price was reasonable. This is my first Cig , my first offshore was a 30 Formula 302 a great boat just a bit small , my next boat was the 43 Scarab an superb boat but just a bit big. The Cig is the right size and the old school style is really what I wanted. Why don't you post some pictures of your boat I would love to see it . Here is my flat deck.

Well I finally got it in the water in August. Here are a couple of pictures one in the water at my marina and the other at night after I installed new hatch lights.
