When did Cigartette first use Kevlar 49
 

Just curious when the first race boat was built with Kevlar 49? I know someone racing a mid 1970's 36 and he claims its Kevlar. I know the early Kevlar boats were Scarab and Bertram. I thought Cig was a bit later.Thanks

-----Ill start this with the statement that "I was told" way back in 1988 when I bought/traded for a 1978 Mistress that it was the 1st Kevlar hull Cigarette had built. I wasnt told until after I sold the boat by the guy I sold it to, but that is what I was told. He told me also that Cigarette had researched the ID # and told him this verbatim. Take it for what its worth as there are a whole bunch of "I told yous" in there.........Bill S
