That boat was for sale down in Coconut Grove a year or two ago. 86 or 87 420/TRS. All original. Not sure what happened to it.

Wow
Well, for the first time in 16 years the boat hit the water yesterday. This cafe is new to me and the engines are new to her and I have to say I was BLOWN AWAY by the difference between the cafe and my old formula sr-1 311 (duh).... The boat handled perfectly in the bay and even better a bit out.
But on the way back as I was getting on plane, the left engine started to slip. I reduced power and tried again both engines, still left one slipping. I never heard anything crack, and when I put it in gear there is no grinding sound as I would assume there would be if the gears teeth blew off. I'm thinking it mint be the hub. The props are 25" hydros quAd iv on 550hp engines so I don't think is prop slip Any suggestions? |
