Boat Lift for 1994 Cigarette?

I don't know anyone that has a boat lift for an older, heavier Cigaettte TOP GUN. Will a 14,000lb floating boat lift be enough. My dry weight is 11500lbs. I think the boat holds 220 gallons of fuel. I can get a brand new 14000lb econolift shipped and installed for $8300.

Where are you located ?

Price sounds good for delivered and and installed, depending when your at. I used to own an Eonolift and I now own a Galvalift, night and day difference in consturction. Galvalift or Polylift are built 10x stronger. If you have any sort of rough water go for something else.

I'm in Texas. Freshwater Lake. Is a 14000lb lift good enough to get the boat and drives out of the water.

Should be fine. I have a 1991 Cafe' on a 14K lift and it get's it plenty high out of the water like it isn't even there.

That's a fine looking paint job. What brand lift? How much does your boat weigh?

That's a hydro-hoist. They are great for big boats, I know someone who puts a big heavy 39footer on there and it holds perfectly.

Thanks. It is a Hydro Hoist and they make them for all sizes. There is a guy on our lake who has one to lift his 43' houseboat out of the water. Figure about a $1 per pound for a new one but there are used ones all over the place. Masher on the board is a dealer and can get you a good deal on one as well. http://www.boatlift.com/ Mine is an older one and I paid $4K for it 3 years ago.

I have never weighed my boat but I think it is about 12K. The brochure says 9600 dry but I think that is way off.

I've got a 15,000 Magnum lift as well for my '88. No problemo.

Thanks everyone. But no one has responded and said that an older TOP GUN will float on a 14000lb lift. Maybe no one with an older TOP GUN has a 14000lbs floating lift, just 15000+. Anyway, I'm still checking this post.

First off, I don't consider a '94 an older Top Gun. :D:drink:

That being said, in '94 they did build them lighter so the boats would run in the mid to high 60's with 502's and Bravos. I'm not sure how much lighter, but I have a friend with a '94 TG and the difference is very noticeable to me compared to my '88. The deck on that thing flexes like a NASCAR hood at speed! I think that you would be OK with a 14K lift.....but the only way to be sure is to get to a scale. :)

I have a 10,000 lb lift. I lifted my Mistress for six years and my Top Gun for two years now. No problem. A 14,000 will be OK. From 7,000 lbs up the lifts/gradle are the same, they change the cables and the motors as the weight goes up. That is what I was told when I bought my Mistress.

I'm required to have a floating lift at the marina. Thanks for trying.
