45' Maximus Centerdrive
The Maximus Centerdrive, 45' has access to the cabin via the center of the helm that lifts up. Ive seen pictures of the boat, but never of the cabin. Does anyone have pictures?
Is the cabin similar to that of the 46' Rider? -Sam |
Where are pics of this boat and where is it now?

It wasnt on the lift to long Rob. :) Its in my shop now getting the normal service work done to it. If I get a chance I will snap a few pictures of the cabin and post them. He wont mind. Its a cover girl cabin with a porta potty, cooler and storage compartment.

Does the owner run the boat much? How does he like it? Thanks Brad |

Here's a few shots while the boats in our shop.
Brad, he loves how the boat rides!! Theres nothing like riding in a 45 Cigarette in 4 to 6's and having the power and length to stay on top and in it!! He's looking to sell it and step into a nice center console. If anybody knows of someone looking for a one of a kind poker runner let us know! Thanks! I'll get a few more later. |
WOW - I love the way it rolls over in the back - just beautiful.
Question - do I see a rubrail between the two red stripes at the top, or is that an optical illusion? I didn't think they had rails... |
Thanks for the pics.
Any good pics of the cabin and cockpit? |
Wow, very nice.

The rubrail was added a few years after the boat was built.

Seems as we get older the center consoles look better and better! I remember getting on that boat at the Ft L show years back. If my memory is correct there were two seats forward of the driver.

Any cockpit or cabin pic?
|
It certainly was ahead of its time. I loved the paint then and still do today. I remember seeing it in the mags years ago and couldn't ready decide if I liked the layout or not... it didn't take long to grow on me though. I too would love to see more current pics of it.

What is the idea behind the logo wrapping onto the transom...is it supposed to be that the boat is so fast it's outrunning the logo???
|
What year is that boat, I remember seeing it a few years back?

Heres a few more of the cockpit and cabin of the 45......

I really like the paintjob on the center steer Maximus, & on the Top Gun that Tank posted pics of.
That Maximus could still use a few changes that would make it MUCH more user friendly, & safer to operate. For example: You can't access the cabin without raising the helm forward, so the driver has to get out of the way every time someone needs to go down below. That would get real old having to kill the power every time, THEN move aside, especially when you're trying to idle around. It's also tough to see other boats port & starboard from the drivers seat when you're running, when there are people sitting in the forward seats on either side of the helm. It's a neat looking boat, but they never built another one like it due to "some" of these details. The other cockpit is so much more comfortable for the driver & passengers to operate the boat from. |

if im correct, when I visited Cig, they had an unfinished boat there. wasnt painted or rigged at all. They do have the molds still though right?

Oh, I see. Thanks Tank! What were the other ones? I have only seen 1 in person. The other 3 I see on the Internet- one of them is the boat I originally requested pics for.

He's talking about the helm configuration Sam. There are 4 maximus' total, this is the only one with the "funky" seating.

Ahhhhh, I remember that thing now. I actually think that might be one in the same as the non rigged one that was at Cig. According to Chad braver the non rigged 45 is gone.

So this was the unrigged one? Here's a crappy video I found. :party-smiley-004:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZAUzxtX1f8 That white one looks like it's at the St. Tropaz harbor. Interestg intakes on the side if the boat. That was some work at the factory! And that engine hatch reminds me of the hatch on the kilo boat. Also interesting how it looks like the dash is a wrap around. Sweet ride. |
