The first one has been for sale for a while, Also the price has chaged from 59,999 to 49,999 to 69,999. It's also on Florida c/l for 49,999. I personally like #1 better but am afraid of why it's been f/s for so long.

Bern

Go look at Kevin's boat you won't find one cleaner. The Bullet guys should chime in here. You get a ton a boat with the Bullet. My first ride in a Cig was a Bullet and that is what got me hooked. I love the Cafe's they have always been one of my favorite boats, but I talked Kevin into looking at Bullets. For what you are looking to spend you can write your check and start enjoying it. There is nothing left to do. I am afraid with that Cafe that won't be the story. But I am glad to see you narrowing down to a Cigarette.:drink:

#1 looks nice, but I know nothing about it.

#2 I've seen first hand. It's very clean and runs strong.

Hollowpoint 10-20-2010 09:06 AM

#1 has been for sale for quite a while. Looks good, but I would try and get a history on it from this website and maybe the "other site". For sure get a full survey before buying.

#2 boat (Kreed's) looks like alot of boat for the money. If I'm correct, the motors have low hours on them. I don't think you can find a "bigger" running 31' boat. I typically run in whatever a 38 can handle. It's a wave crusher. I can't say enough good stuff.

Only negatives I can even say about a Bullet is while the cabin is huge, the cockpit is a little tight. Also, unless you use tabs some, the boat may have a slight porpoise in calm water (But it's no big deal).

Either one looks good since it has a #1 on the side!

carter38 10-20-2010 09:16 AM

I've owned 4 bullets before my gun and you can't go wrong with one. Bullets will do everything you want to do imo.

Sick Stinger 10-20-2010 09:33 AM

Boat#1: Ived talked to him, as I mistook it for on in cali. I kinda got the feeling boat "looks" nice but you can polish anythign to look good. Seems there is a possability of unknow stuff that may pop up.
Boat 2# Im pretty sure everyone knows the boat. Motors were done this year runs great was wiht him over the weekend.

Bern, on that Cafe im not so sure I would trust those motors. Not a fan of Pro Chargers. Boat seems nice though. I really like Kreeds Bullet. Its a prime example of classic, great looking Cigarette and can run low 80's. The bullet would easily be my choice between those two.

I know I'm going to take some sh!t for this but I'd own a Bullet in a split second.....If they only looked like this...

BGIII 10-20-2010 11:00 AM

It doesn't look like the Cafe Racer has hydraulic steering. Pretty expensive item to add to a boat.

Hollowpoint 10-20-2010 11:12 AM

And if the motors are done right with the Prochargers, the speeds you can run DEFINATELY should be done with hydraulic steering...IMHO

damdonzi 10-20-2010 11:42 AM

Man you have alot of choices right now as a buyer:

It's a buyers market.........HHHHMMMMMM what will I buy
:boat:

seafordguy 10-20-2010 05:52 PM

That first one has been FS forever. Makes you curious, but the owner is not active on here obviously and the boat could be a slow sell since we all know it's a cash boat.

I think the paint and the prochargers are the turn-off on that Cafe. There are some nice things done with that boat though - new style hatch vents, etc.....

The nice thing about the bullet though is that the paint is timeless, simple and elongates the look of the boat.

As others have said, the Cafe has been for sale for a while, I looked into it back in early July. Was told it came from Maryland and Pennsylvania, has no documentation and has potential for some costly repairs when sh*t breaks. I know, I know, pretty obvious statement, but thought it was interesting that he stressed no documentation and potential to dump a lot of money into it...lol

Don't know anything about the Bullet, but looks clean...

Good luck!

I looked at a cafe with the same paint very many years ago in Ct. The boat was kinda rough and the motors were already junk. The boat was at Ocean Perf.

rlj676 10-20-2010 06:47 PM

I think there are 2 to 3 boats that look just like that Cafe that have all been for sale recently. This procharged one, one without them and 502's, and then a different one I think that was in CA?

I'd take the Bullet in this equation.:drink:

There was also the one with exact paint that went to Japan with the 1000's in it. Very nicely kept by a gentlemen in Havasu. He pulled the 1000's out and put 500EFI's in it prior to it's trip to Japan.

pm203 10-20-2010 09:58 PM

Still great looking graphics after all these years.

Tom A. 10-21-2010 12:59 PM

Bernie, bite the Bullet already!

kreed 10-22-2010 07:33 AM

As of November 1, the Bullet is OFF the market. She is getting winterized next weekend. After that, Im keeping her another season. Actually happy to keep this boat cause I know whats done to it and what was spent on it. Im not going through the de-winterization, unwrapping it, test drives, ect, for a POTENTIAL buyer after it is winterized. Im now looking forward to doin a few upgrades this winter....I want 85 MPH next year! Happy shopping boat buyers!:drink:

You better step up to the plate, even if it is not the Bullet your window for test rides is shrinking by the day. Good luck we are all pulling for you.

You have a nice boat, don't give it away. The economy sucks, even if you sell it and want something else, its going to cost money to get it to the level that everyone wants. Its a cycle that never seems to end. Enjoy it and run it.

Thanks for the compliment, and your right. For the money Im sellin this boat for, theres nothing out there that is actually going to be a step up. I figured I could bank the money and save over the winter. When spring comes, upgrade to a 35 to 42 footer. But this boat handles extremely well for its size and runs like a scalded dog! I should take it off the market now, come on November 1st !!!!

kreed 10-25-2010 09:53 AM

Bernie? You still alive??? :party-smiley-004:

berns29scarab 10-26-2010 10:02 AM

will do bro. actually changed gears a bit...i think. theres a very strong possibility that i'll be racing next year so have also started looking at boats that will not only be decent pleasure boats but also a good class 5 or 6 race boat. Wouldnt do the entire circut (i dont think) but def all the east coast races. So with that said i've know also started looking a boats 27-30 with singles as well. Kryptonites, Pantera's, Superboats etc...

berns29scarab 10-26-2010 10:03 AM

convo came up late last week and already was offered some sponsorship $$ from a few friends that own local businesses
