Its more common than you think. It happened to my boat under the previous ownership. Fortunately they were going slow when it happend.

I think we have all walked away from the wheel at some point in our lives. It's amazing the things you can learn from posts like this. Nice boat!

I do,Sometimes I go down into the cabin to make a sandwich ,but I make sure there is no other boats around for a few miles..I feel better now seeing I am not alone on this....:evilb:

Who has a twin engine boat without a tie bar? I have been in a side by side setup and lost a motor because of faulty ignition harness and I can tell ya that tie bar isn't going to do chit.

It is your boat and nobody around so do as you wish but I am just pointing out that your confidence associated with the tie-bar isn't really all that valid. Pull your kill lanyard for one side at 50mph and see what happens..
