Trim Tab Location
 

My 85 flat deck came with Dana Marine trim tabs and I going to replace them with K planes ( 280s). My question is location . I am toying with the idea of running them straight across the transom as oppossed to the standard location in line the the bottom of the hull. I have seen race boats run them straight across. It is bettter to run them straight or on the angle?
Any input would be aappreiated.
