This is pretty much all I have for pics of mine that show it in any detail. One is a crappy cell phone pic. I can't get to it to take a better shot of it right now. She's down for her winter nap.

Maybe we'll get lucky and catch Rebarbox in a good mood and he'll take some for us since it's at his place. If not we'll have to wait for spring.

I'm told this is the place that made mine. http://www.extrememarine.cc/

Hope that helps a little.

Buck,

Thanks for getting back to me. The picture you posted tells me a lot. the platform looks good. My boat has the stainless rails on it. With my exhaust coming out above the rubrail, I may do the platform in polished stainless to keep it from staining.

Your exhaust comes out a bit higher than mine originally did, what engines did/does your boat have?

By the way your mail box say it's full.

Thanks again for the assistance
Doug

buck183 01-07-2011 11:38 AM

It has 350 MPIs in it.

Sean 01-10-2011 08:25 AM

that platform was not made by extreme. i had it made by B-Bracket in Dania. it was modeled after the platform on the 47 Apache - "Quick Tempered"

buck183 01-10-2011 09:47 AM

Thank you for clarifying that Sean. That's what I get for listening to Ted. ;-)

My wife and I talk about that boat quite often. It was the best boat I've ever owned. I owned it when times were quite different and we didnt have a care in the world...no mortgages, no kids(I love my daughter BTW), and no responisbilities. We have many good times on it.

Thanks CJ. We take our ownership of her with a LOT of pride knowing what I know about her. I almost wish I could somehow document all the stories from each owner of this boat so they could be kept and passed on.

By the way, I think I may still owe you a drink or two. ;)

Here's a couple pics of her from this summer. That's my hairy butt driving. The compliments and thumbs up we got for the few short weeks we had it this summer were countless.

I've been searching high and low for the pic of Parnell airing it out on what I was told was Lake Michigan. I've seen it here on OSO a couple of times but can't seem to find it anywhere. The pic was taken from the rear of the boat on the starboard side. He had it flying pretty damn high if I remember correctly. If anyone knows where it is point me to it. I would love to have it.

Is this the photo you are looking for?

buck183 01-15-2011 06:47 PM

Unfortunately not. :(

There big rolling swells around the boat in the pic. The camera angle was from a little further back, and Parnell had it aired out a LOT more than that. I wanna say it may have been in that thread about big air pics possibly.

Thank you for sharing it. It's appreciated.

Buck

Thanks for scanning those Sean! It's appreciated.

I agree with her stance at rest. She has a draw to her while sitting.

I noticed chrome exhaust tips in a couple of the pics. I'm assuming these had to be removed to allow room for the swim platform?

The exhaust wasnt moved or removed. The platform went on afterwards and was designed to sit above the exhaust.

I could tell it hasn't been moved. But the tips are no longer there. Rubber flappers now.

Maybe removed after you sold it?

Buck

dreamer 01-18-2011 09:12 AM

Still as Sean built it.... He had the tips with flappers on it

Look at pics

You're right. I had to zoom in on the pic to see what my old eyes couldn't pic up when I originally looked at them.

I "thought" I was seeing 45 deg angle cut chrome tips in the pic. That's what I get for thinking.

Carry on...

I kinda perfer the flaps below a swim platform, I have the 45 degree tips above the rub-rail whick looks great. But...they are more difficult to winterize. I have McDonnalds toy balls shoved in during the winter to seal them up

NickOTeen 01-20-2011 09:49 AM

I made a few inquiries about putting a swim platform on the SS after my wife sliced her foot climbing up on the drive. My favorite response was "I couldn't fit my wifes G-String on that transom." I suppose she could've been a big gal. :D

This is one of my favorites! I think Parn or Curt took this up in northern michigan. mackinaw bridge in background!

buck183 01-21-2011 06:37 PM

Thanks for posting that CJ. Here's my email addy.

[email protected]

We're hoping to make the Shootout this year if possible. Given your history with the boat, and the fact that I owe you a drink or twelve, you have a seat on her anytime. ;) If not, you could always settle for riding on Brandon's 368. :)

Thanks again...

Buck
