Anybody selling 188th St sign

Is anyone selling 188th St street signs? or simular?
It would look great infront of my boat house

Steve Schuble took one from the Cig factory when it closed. As I recall he sold it to the highest bidder a few years back.

Pretty simple to get one made I would think.

WOW, those sites are great! Thanks.

I called Cigarette and spoke to the lady in accessories about the sign idea. She took my name and number and was going to give it and the idea to her boss.

Was NE 188 nick named Thunder Boat Alley?

If you want a real deal D.O.T. style street sign, here is the supplier I use in NJ.

Look under products then signs for examples. If you need something, talk to Lorne and tell him Tom Anselmi (an-sell-me):drink: recommended you.

Crallscars 03-03-2011 04:04 PM

This all started by me asking where I could get a novelty sign for my drive way....

pm203 03-03-2011 05:14 PM

One of the most valuable pieces of collectable stuff. The majority of all perf boats started on 188th in No Miami by Don Aronow, Icluding Cigarette Racing Team, of course. The old sign was nice and bent and beat up. When the street was purchased so they could put up condos the street signs were replaced with nice "suburban" ones :P

188th st:

Cigarette, Apache, Formula, Magnum, Donzi, Pantera, US Racing, Signature Marine, TNT Marine, Hawk Power among others hung their business signs on 188th St. "Thunderboat Row" at one time or another.

The "new sign" is in my Avatar.:drink:

During deconstruction of the area I boated down Fort Apache canal and there was one Fort Apache Parking Only sign hanging by a spider web. My first instinct was to grab it for my shop but was afraid the boating gods might turn on me for grave stealing.
The Fort will always be sacred ground!

Your Avitar, is what got me thinking about a sign on my boat house, and what inspired this thread.

So I guess I should thank you!

Ha! Well, like I said, that's actually the new sign that's there now. I hadn't been there before and Phil took me down while they were building the new condos. Snapped that pic as we were leaving.
