Cig at National

http://www.yachtauctions.com/listing.php?vessel=6460

Anybody have the scoop on this one? I may go look at it this afternoon...

Griff 03-07-2011 11:56 AM

Min bid at 155k for a repo/liquidation on a 2004??? Seems pretty high or at least the same as what comparable TS Guns in the classifieds are priced at that are not repos.

twin screws 03-07-2011 12:00 PM

Saw the boat at one of the Fl Power Boat poker runs here in Ga. Boat it beautiful, pics do it no justice.

pm203 03-07-2011 01:13 PM

You'd be surprised at what they would take. You kinda have to lowball the price to get anything within reason.

Scarab3DMC 03-07-2011 01:36 PM

good luck with that, nice piece, Frank @ National Cleveland, is
funny to deal with.. and not in a good way:lolhit::angry-smiley-038::bsflag:

I don't know what kind of shape it is in now, but the boat was beautiful. Have you made an offer?

amann 03-07-2011 03:57 PM

If I didn't have my boat I would be all over it!!! Love the colors and paint on it!!!

Quinlan 03-07-2011 04:30 PM

575 boat
Low hours but a little rough
Saw it the day it came in 3 weeks ago

Needs some TLC but good to go... It's a 100k-110k boat as it sits
Carpet is faded upholstery is a little rough and some serious dock rash, gouges and big chips Esp starboard rear

I know it has at least one good drive, because he lost one on Lanier.

SS930 03-08-2011 10:27 AM

I contacted them when I first saw the boat listed. In typically National fashion, I'm still waiting to hear something from someone...

Keep us posted on the boat SS930, unless it has not been taken care of, the boat is beautiful. The interior was well thought out, not too much color, it want be a problem during those hot days. If I were in possition I would be all over it.

Magic Medicine 03-08-2011 11:26 AM

Hopefully this will go to someone who is not buying and trying to resell, or disappear the typical national style

No kidding.

National is a joke to deal w/ in most locations, but I recall Cleveland/Frank being the worst.

I'm not sure how any of you guys even know this, I can never get anyone at National to ever respond to emails or calls! :angry-smiley-038:

DollaBill 03-10-2011 06:51 AM

National is a joke.

AB69Z 03-10-2011 09:23 AM

I seem to remember a boat that Carolina marine had for sale a year or so ago that looked very similar to that one. Can't remember what power but it did have air and sat on a Myco with drive guard just like this one........then again i could be wrong. Got a series of pics from National.....crack in cabin door trough area, repair done to one of the steps, ect. love the graphics but she looks like she was run hard and put away salty wet.

twin screws 03-15-2011 01:06 PM

Anyone looking to buy this boat?

SS930 03-15-2011 01:18 PM

I've called, emailed, etc. It doesn't appear they actually want to be bothered with customers, let alone sell this boat... I'm still waiting to hear from them. Then again, of all the times I've contacted National (re: a MTI, Skater, Cig, etc), I've never once ever received a call or email from them.

twin screws 03-15-2011 01:31 PM

Post there number, I will try and I'm not in the market, I wish I were.

Thanks

Just called on the boat, it is in Ohio, ask for dave he seems to be nice enough. he wnt as far to tell me the boat had been repaired on one of the steps. He said make an offer to the bank. I am sure you can get the boat for much less. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
P.S. he is going to email all the photos of the boat, if I can figure it out I will post them.

SS930 03-15-2011 07:58 PM

I'll call Dave tomorrow. Thanks guys.

Hard to believe this is a legitimate business and customers have to go through all the BS!

bajarick 03-16-2011 06:42 AM

Keep in mind, why would they want to sell a boat
fast the longer they keep it the more money they
make !!!!! They make alot of money storing these
boats .

Thanks. I tried calling direct again and got VM again. I'll call again and if I dont get anyone, I'll leave a message for Dave.

I will say bottom damage botters me. Not that the repairs aren't okay, but that the core might (probably) got wet... and you know what happens down the line once this happens.

I've noticed they dont seem to care about selling their boats. I called and sent messages on a 39 MTI they had listed. I told them I had cash and want to buy it for full asking price... I never heard back from them. The boat was relisted at 2x the price and didn't sell for a couple of months.

SS930 03-16-2011 11:31 AM

Okay, I did finally get a hold of someone. I spoke with Lauren (she said "Dave's just the yard manager, you need to speak to me or Frank".

I received the pics of the boat. AB69Z had it right when he said "she looks like she was run hard and put away salty wet"!!! It's hard to believe the boat is a 2004 and looks like this. You'd think someone would take better care of something that costs that much new! Then again, I guess they weren't paying for it so...

Anyway, $155k?!?! LMAO!

Yea I got the pics as well, it looks like it has salt all over the boat, and I'm sure you also noticed it is sitting outside with a hole in the cover and no pole to shead the water.
I saw that boat new and it was awesome. I would maybe offer $97,000 and take them up on the survey.

twin screws 03-21-2011 09:02 AM

SS930, it was nice speeking with you yesterday, keep us posted with what you buy.
Robert

SS930 03-21-2011 10:51 AM

You too Robert. I'm looking hard at another boat, but I'm not sure we're going to get it done. I'm going to place an offer on this if we aren't any closer this afternoon... We'll see what happens.

twin screws 03-22-2011 09:12 AM

Good luck

SS930 03-23-2011 06:40 AM

I placed a bid, but I was not the high bidder. Thier were bids well in excess of $120k.

I'm quite suprised a repo showing so much wear and tear (including bottom rock rash) is demanding so much money. I guess it must be that sweet paint job...

twin screws 03-26-2011 07:42 AM

Paint was awesome, however I would not have paid that much for that boat. Keep us updated on what you purchase.
