what height scoops did you use ? brand ? looks very good!!

carter38 03-19-2011 09:28 AM

Here are the dimensions of what we started with Base 37" L x 20" W, Overall 48" L x 10.5" H we ended up cutting 8 inches off the back to be able to mold it the way we did. We were going for a smooth transition look to where it would not look like we just bolted scoops on and was done. Theres alot of time in reinforcing them and smoothing them completely out. We opened up the side vents alot to vent it.

Here is the scoop I bought and started with.

I can't take the credit for the fiberglass work. My father is incredible when it comes to this. I show up with 2 big boxes and he asks now what the hell are you up to. I said I'm having some new motors built and they won't fit. So this was our winter project last year. I thought it was pretty cool to even find some oval wire mess to make the grilles out of to resemble cig logos. We were after the goal to create it and make it look as if was one mold. I think we got pretty close.

Prolly here in a few weeks letting the water warm up a bit more. Are you going to do the headers here or Joplin?
