I dont know much about the X. How does the X compare to the Tiger?

It's was my understanding they changed the name to "X" after they stepped the bottom to distinguish it from the straight bottoms?

2001+ Tiger's are stepped.

Is it the same boat, but the X is staggard with upgraded drives (6's)?

x was built for staggered or trips, as well as big power and drives

They moved the steps around. The original stepped Tiger didn't run well with big power/6's (CG was off), so they changed the bottom, renamed it X and sold it with big power. For a while you could order the stepped Tiger with Bravos or the X with 6's. But the X runs good with anything so they did away with the Tiger all together.
