Top Gun Stern Light
 

Installed new transom, removed stern light because I'm installing a swim platform. Were have people been installing the stern light, above rub rail or in engine hatch? Does anyone make a LED replacement flush mount stern light?

Mine is under swim platform.

Mine too. Still lights it up back there.

Funny story. We rarely stay out past dark, but one night a few summers ago we got back to our lift maybe 10 minutes after dark. I see a guy on a bicycle flying down the driveway waving his arms and chit. We're trying to figure out WTF he's doing as he runs down the dock...


He gets to us and says "There was fire shooting out of your exhaust. I could see it from my deck". I started the engine back up and looked over the swim platform. the stern light was lighting up the water as it came out of the water dumps. He felt like an azz.....but in his defense he had been drinkin' all day. :D:drink::evilb:

Since you redid the transom, might as well look into a telescoping light maybe?

Mine is positioned above basically in the railing. The railing stops and leaves about a 2 inch gap and the light is mounted in that....

Wait till they see the blue shooting out from the underwater lights. It is sweet!!
